Quote: willow6666 "Town Planner, Corporation of London. I am a leyther who hasn't watched rugby league since 1984 when i moved to London. My era was the John Woods/Des Drummond Divsion One winning team. I have been an Arsenal season ticket holder since 1984 who has become completely disillusioned with football as it has lost all links with real people. It is too expensive and the players are light years away from the fans.
Started going to Skolars last season as they play round the corner from where I live. Fell back in love with the game of RL and enjoyed the community aspect of the Skolars and the fact that the players want to play RL and are putting there bodies on the line every week whilst having to work fulltime. When I saw the offer in the Evening Standard for free tickets for the Harlequins v St Helens game at the end of last season I applied and got two. Great day out, even though we lost. Now completely hooked to both Broncos and Skolars. Missed the game Wakefield game as was up north seeing my family, gutted that I had to watch us win on Sky. Will continue to buy season tickets for both clubs and want to get as many people to the games as I can. Best game in the world, pity I didn't realise it for so long........
Don't know about offering the club any advice, but I will turn up to watch the team
regardless of results. Love the west stand and members bar. Cheers'"
If only we could find another 5k like you.......believe me, they are out there and they just need to be found. Shame there aren't "Northern theme pubs".....something like the "Pigeon and Whippet" selling flat ale and betty's hotpot.....
Great story willow, one the club could maybe find a way to use in promotional activity. Would be good to hear a story like this on BBC radio's London RL show.... or even on the SL show/Boots'n'all..........or in League express......(hint hint hint).
Back on thread.
3 quid booking fee seems to be the number 1 complaint.
If the club were to write to all ST holders with vouchers that can be exchanged at the ticket office for a tenner ticket, no booking fee, for the last 7 games at the stoop, would it work?
