simpsons/017.jpg Welcome Quins Kitties born 02.04.09 -
Purdo - Determined, loveable with a "can-do" attitude. A born leader.
Louie - Big, white and fluffy. A very noisy prop forward.
Harley- Cute and gorgeous (just like our no.9) Well, I couldn't call her Chad, could I?
Update on Quins Mogs :-
Purdo - deffo leader amongst Mogs. The Capo.
Louie - turned out to be more like Louie Spence than LMS. Re-named Judas.
Harley - Cute but not as gorgeous as our no.9.
Oh well, at least I haven't got a Willy.:simpsons/017.jpg |

| Just heard the London weather forecast. They seem pretty sure now that there is going to be significant snow after dark coming in from the west (OK during the day though).
Have you room for a few hundred on your floor, Darth?
Just thought, what terrible timing this is. Would have been far preferable if Saints had got snowed in somewhere round Birmingham. Saved us all a lot of grief.
On a serious note, isn't time the powers that be listened to the fans and get the season put back a month? Beginning of Feb is way too early. Surely someone in the RFL can see sense. Can't see us getting more than a couple of thousand at The Stoop tomorrow.

It's in fact quite funny when we remember it is Summer Rugby or that was the intention? - going to be interesting how the Vikings pitch works out tonight.

| It was -7 here last night, it's gonna be -7 tonight too, and it's not due to get above freezing until 1100hr's Saturday. If the groundsman is happy it's playable, let's hope he's right.
A word of warning on the snow, the first of it will be coming across from 1400hr's and it will be falling until about 0700hr's Sunday depositing approx. 100mm generally, and 150mm locally, so it may be an interesting journey home for some (I cover from the M25 southwards for gritting and will be going to work straight from the game)
Given the accuracy of the forecasters so far this winter, it'll probably pee down all afternoon

I suppose it will be playable as long as the covers are on. Shouldn't be frozen untill they take them off for the inspection at 11am I guess.

| Google has just informed me it's -7c here, but 0c up in the Smoke. How can there be such a difference? To answer my own question - I've long been of the opinion that the Google weather consists of a man at a regional airport looking out of the window every half hour or so and changing the listing accordingly.

It's always warmer in big built up cities compared small isolated communities

This is true, but usually only by a degree or so. And yes, it is 'firm' underfoot - I just walked past some blackbirds using an angle-grinder and a jackhammer. Google has also informed me the ambient temperature is -9c which really does feel a bit parky. Lucky we're not playing Leeds - they'd feel right at home.

You can see our pitch? Did you camp out overnight so you can get first dibs on the unreserved seats?

Those West Stand seats are highly coveted.
An hour until we hear the news....I am nervous.
