I thought it was likely Ganson had been asked to penalise a lot. More a training exercise than an actual competitive friendly. I think these games are good for us, no real angst, less potential for injuries, bit more time on the ball to run attacks and so on. Leigh will obviously tougher, but we went well enough - and Rob Thomas was good.

I thought we could have done a bit more on Defence-Maybe kicking on the second and practice the chase and some defensive patterns

If he stays fit (which I hope he does), he will give you everything, every week. He was a very popular player at Hull and though he was ex Leeds and was not a popular signing by a lot of our fans, he left with the majorities best wishes, mine included.

There was a lot of penalties, but surely you can't be suggesting Gansons refereeing could be influenced

Overall dont think we can ever read much into this fixture but must be good for them to get a run out against another team. Shame the skolars scored this year but I think they will have a better season this year. Next weeks game against leigh should give us a better idea of how we will perform this year

I would expect a wounded animal when you come to our place next week. The score flattered Wire a bit. Not saying they didn't beat us easilly but they had 4 soft tries and one that was so forward it was unbelievable. Wire played their full first team for nearly all the game. I personally think Wire will make GF and CC final this year. Their tactical awareness was excellent. Looking forwad to seeing you lot at the LSV and hope enjoy your day out in the centre of the universe

The 10mtr at the penalty not a gentlemans agreement, i think it was imposed due to the office windows on one side of the pitch, I believe there were complaints on previous years.

Then again taking the 10 might have been best option for us we never seemed to make much more than that last year when we kicked to touch!! I know the stoop is a wide pitch but we were rubbish last year
