He was playing for Salford when they knocked us out of the cup at Kingstonian in 2000. So it was '99 he left.

| For sheer talent it has to be Barnett - on his day, when he was fit and interested he was just on a completely different level. Sadly that only happened about once (v Wire at the Valley).
Otherwise another vote for McLinden. Not quite on the genius level of Barnett but great all-round talent and totally unafraid of putting his body on the line. Far more eloquent than your stereotypical rugby player too, judging by the columns he wrote.

| I remember seeing Barnett destroy Salford at the Willows when we scored 50 and we were applauded off by the locals!

| Moran was a little magician when he was with us and imo robbed of the MoS award
worth the admission money alone.
Not really been anyone as good for us since then but the team has been more stable.

| McLinden or Moran - both great in different ways but to be leading try scorer two seasons runniong in a poorish team just tips it to moran
agree re Barnett - great when.........
Scott Cram for effort, ditto hopkins and Dorn
Martin waas good and Hetherington had one amazing season a fab leader

| Broncos - Steele, Moran and Barnett
Quins, McLinden....er......that's it
Purdham is a true club man (one of the last)......but if pushed for a best I have to go with Moran!

| I've only been a quins fan for a couple of years now
But the best I've seen in that time is Rad Chandall...
Looking over the bests that have been named Marty McLinden shining out is a sad example of the quality that has come through the club.
How did Dymock play over here (granted he was on the backend of his career), he was one of my favourites at the Eels. Old school ball player who was tough as nails.
I am also suprised to hear Moran was nearly MoS!

Dymock was a great player for us even if he was playing on one leg most of the time. Would love him still to be here. A great ball player

Most fans of other clubs would have loved Marty to be playing for their club - so I guess you would say an indictment of Super League.
