| Quote: Roofs "Yeah but there's a hell of a lot more RL fans in general up here.
I notice that Australia V New Zealand drew a bigger crowd dwon here than our national team could get in a heartland county last night. Sure England were palying France not Aus or NZ, but if the England football team can draw massive crowds to Wembley regardless of the opposition or the likely lack of entertainment, then Yorkshire should be able to provide a bigger turn out for England RL with all those RL fans "up here" than London does for an international RL match, Aus and NZ ex-pats or not.

But it doesn't.
So what do you think needs to be done about it? Maybe bring Gutterfax straight back from NZ to sort it.

Aye, what an easy sell, a cold October night, a trip to Doncaster on a Friday night, to see a team we stuffed a few months ago...
When you consider that we had Australia v NZ, on a Saturday, with an open bar, with the game promoted well to the local imports, I can see how you can compare them...

Would help us get to the 5,000 mark if they do! Next round of franchises in mind we should try and get as many back as we can, seeing as they now know the way to the Stoop!

South Yorkshire is not a heartland county, and Donny's not an RL town. Also Oz v NZ is a much bigger game, a proper test match. I think both attendances are pretty good.

| wouldn't worry too much about The Sour Grapes brigade complaining about your game against Melbourne.
Probably a little miffed because They wanted it, to generate some much needed revenue and thought they were in with a chance.

| The crowd shows there are people who will pay to watch rugby league in london. I know nothing about marketing but we miust, must attract some of that crowd back - 10% would be a start, but 20% plus would be brill

Oh yeah, + there's principles. '"
Based on what do you deserve it more than lets say Hudds and secondly based on crowds you sit fairly low in the pecking order. so you wouldnt get it anyway.
Why would an Aussie player on a trip of his life want to spoil it by visiting and playing in Hull?
