| I don't think anyone would argue that this has been a poor year for the club, both on and off the field.

| Quote: PTB "Weren't season ticket holders put in the East in 2006, then moved to West for 2007 and 2008, then moved back to the East this year?
At least that is how I remember it.'"
You could buy season tickets for either the East or West in 2006 (most opted for the East) then for 2007 all STHs were moved to the West with generous discounts for former East Stand STHs renewing as compensation for having to move. The North Stand was also open for 2006, primarily for away supporters, but closed for the next two seasons except for one or two games where there was a larger than usual attendance. One reason given for closing it was that its lower roof made away supporters sound louder.
(The West Stand was most definitely complete and open for the first game as Quins against St Helens as I was sitting in it!)

| Quote: Dave Lister " I believe if people tell you they are leaving solely because of the mismanagement of the club, they are liars..'"
I didn't say they were leaving the club. I said they will not be renewing their ST's. They are fans of RL and their club is Quins, but they will no longer be prepared to attend every game just because they have forked out £300+ on a ST. I for one, don't blame them.
Listy, regardless of the results on the pitch, the club really have managed to right royaly F^CK things up this year.
I commented after the fans forum that there was a level of arrogance in some of the responses from DH, PB and BMcD.....It was like we should feel priveledged that they bothered to turn up. The "we're OK for money" and it's "Ian Lenagans problem" answers just didn't add up.
40,846 people have watched us play at the Stoop in SL this year........and if IL's assertion that each is worth £9.50, then £388,037 is the gate revenue. That's only 50k more than leeds raised from their games against Wigan and Bradford FFS.......How, in anyones world is that a positive?
Bums on seats is directly connected to the standard of player we can attract....and rather than actively attracting new fans, the club have managed to alienate some of their longest standing supporters.....That's TOP QUALITY MANAGEMENT??
Nothing will ruin my enjoyment of my last home game in September and I will always look for Quins RL results first thing and try to catch matches on Fox , but I honestly do fear for the future of the club....and I am not alone.

Effectively they are unless they are stupid enough to pay walk up prices every week. I will attend every game I can because watching Rugby League is my number 1 priority as a supporter of RL and Quins. If they dont want to spend £300 anymore then that is fine. Why can they not spend £100? I don't know why you have brought the costings into this
1. So you can catergorically tell me these people would not be renewing if the team had won 10 of the last 10 games instead of losing 9 of them? I would be amazed if so. This is our worst run for ages and what a surprise, its an easy excuse to blame it all on the club and the lack of customer services whereas the real reason is the team are a dire embarrassment and nobody can be bothered anymore.
2. Mismanagement of the club or not, I will continue supporting the club as I go to watch professional Rugby League. The only thing that will stop me is if the professional Rugby League falls to a standard where it no longer entertains me. Not because I can't sit in the seat that I want to sit in or some nasty Northerner is occupying my seat or theres a walkway in front of me.'"
Well?

Opinions are like @rseholes Listy.....everyones got one and we all know what comes out of them.
I am simply saying that everyone stuck in the one stand may be OK for the Skolars but it isn't OK for a SL team. It shows no ambition and is defeatist..........
As I have said, I don't give a flying one where I sit...I really don't, but the club should be looking after what it's got and not alienating good customers.
As for me swerving? Nope.
I can assure you that those who will not renew are not doing so due to results, but to the perveived lack of customer service from the club.
These people will still atteng the occasional game, but not the full 13 a season. They have not given up on the game, just, like any other customer, they are being picky about where they shop and how many times.
Lastly, Homer. If you want to join in the fun, by all means do, but ploughing in with "rubbish as usual" is more apt for a school kid than a moderator who is protected by the AUP.

No thanks I shall stick to challenging rubbish posted by your good self, as per
Quote: gutterfax "why should we be the only club that doesn't have sets of supporters facing each other. There were plenty of games at GP when it would have been easier to just close the terrace and stick the away fans in the west corner of the ground beside us, but we didn't, because that's the way sport is. Singing "top of the league, you're having a laugh" to St Helens fans sat 4 rows across, is not as much fun as singing it across the pitch at them. '" which bold text apparantly now in your mind means not being opposite but actually being at 90 degrees to each other, much like the Stoop East & North Stands then, and who did you banter with at the Valley?
ps don't lecture me on school kid posts when the majority of yours are name calling of the highest degree, the AUP applies to me and I never hide behind it.............if I did, you would have been banned ages ago.

'scuse me, but across the pitch or at a 90 degree angle, you know what I meant. I think having everyone in the same stand doesn't help the atmosphere at games. I never watched a game at the Valley as well you know and as for the last bit, the majority of my posts are not name calling and certainly not of the highest degree. I think I have had 1 post edited by a mod and 1 request to edit one myself in all the years I have posted on here, so as for being banned.......?
Tell you what, I'll agree with Listy. There, happy? Let the club continue to implode, leak fans and shake their heads saying "don't worry, wer're OK", when it is obvious there are issues both on and off the pitch.

Im confused-What customer service are we to expect when attending a rugby game
I have a seat in a modern stand/ground
I have access to a comfortable bar/toilets
My season ticket turns up before the season starts
The turnstiles are manned with no queueing
I have access to stewards should I have a problem
Get yourself to the Jungle and see what they get.
Having spent many a season on the terraces at Wilderspool I can tell you I feel spoilt at the Stoop.
My belief is because we have access to the players and chairman etc some may feel they own the club ie like shareholders. Go to Wigan, Warrington, Hull etc and you get a pint under the stand in the corridor, go to your seat/terrace, watch the game, then leave. No access to anything(unless you pay corporate), no interaction with players/club staff - nothing

| In my block (AG), I will be paying £49 (Student).
Not because I can't sit in the seat that I want to sit in or some nasty Northerner is occupying my seat or theres a walkway in front of me.
I wonder if all these people moaning and threatening the club with the withdrawl of their season tickets will
Lister you have no right to call people stupid and liars simply because they do not want the same degree of customer service that you want. You are happy to buy the cheapest ticket, sit where you want and that is your prerogative there is absolutely nothing wrong with that whatsoever, you have the same freedom of choice as everyone else and I am pleased you are happy with your match day. I guess a number of people will be happy with the situation but the point you are continually missing is that not everyone is.
Some people want to help the club in their own way by buying the most expensive season ticket and give the club a chance to get a fair bit of money in the bank before the season starts. This does not mean they are wealthy or have loads of money and can afford it, it means they want to do their bit for the club. If they withdraw their purchase of a season ticket that doesn't make them stupid but they possibly feel it is the only way to make the club realise they are no longer prepared to accept whatever the club want to throw at them , these are decent people with a genuine grievance.
The people you have called liars are the people who are the very back bone of this club and have been for a number of years and with a lot of them before you were even a twinkle in your parent’s eye. Some maybe not quite as long but still a vast number of years of support behind them. When these people say they have had enough then it should be listened to, they are not people who will walk away from the club at the drop of a hat, they are people who have given their all, in every way possible blood, sweat and tears. Some of them have cleaned up after games, some have given money to keep the team afloat, some have financially helped and paid for goods out of their own pocket, some have provided places for meetings and the list goes on. They are not people who will walk away because of losing on the pitch
Don't disrespect people just because they don't agree with you. Stop and think maybe an older head knows when things aren't right and you should understand they have a lot of intelligence and also a lot of experience in their understanding of the club. One day you may be lucky enough to complete the amount of years service some of these people have given and you may view things differently. You could however still live in your insular glass house still believing everyone else is wrong.

Dave, while I applaud those who choose to make RL their No 1 priority it is surely not disputable that there are not enough people in that camp to keep RL in London afloat without a sugar daddy. In time maybe that will change but after 25 years you'd probably bet against it. Therefore Quins simply have to branch out to try and attract the casual fan in the hope that he/she becomes the dedicated fan that the club needs.
Now all this flies in the face of those who are the loyal ones but maybe some of the issues that are being discussed here do need to at least be recognised by the club and I believe the East v West stand debate is a real one
My first season ticket at the Stoop was indeed in the East Stand, I was forced without choice to move to the West at a discount for one season but then my season ticket rose by 40% hence I chose to move to the end of the West stand where I could still get a decent ST price (what with RL not being my No 1 priority). Having sat in both I doubt anyone would argue that the view is better from the East, maybe some like the atmosphere, the sun etc but the view is worse. The whole experience ultimately meant me drifting away and to be honest not likely to come back. Cost is an issue for me with other priorities in life and living 60 miles away is also but I cannot say I was looking forward to the East Stand experience. Its a far better stand than most in SL but NOT the best in the ground which I cannot get my head around
I would love the club to share the costs of stewarding and cleaning both stands because then the debate could be had on factual grounds. Opening one stand shows no ambition and probably is what we should expect because the club shows no ambition.
Sadly its going down the pan, at the moment both on and off the field and arguing the t*ss with each other does nothing to help at all. There are IMO some good ideas on here but at the end of of the day asking the fans for money to support development is nonsense, the answer is to go out and win new fans not fleece the existing ones because they will get fed up
So another couple of weeks has gone by and still not a whisper of anything being done by the club to address the attendance issue, how ANYONE can not feel that action is needed is beyond me and how ANYONE can simply keep on defending the club and its management is also beyond me
I may not go any more but that doesn't stop me caring
