GF I think the initiative is aimed a people like you and I trying to encourage us to bring football loving mates with us- Incentive cheap entry-You of course had arranged to bring your friends before the idea was rolled out and therefore gain from it-
Others, me included may now bring friends in soccer shirts, who may enjoy it and come again.
Then of course there are the free runners- Im not sure how they get to know about it.

Wakey are doing the free entry for ladies verses Quins. Due to this offer Im now going-taking missus and daughter- not dressing up myself-although I might try a frock on and see if it is feasible!

I have read many of them  and I think you have made some great suggestions into helping the club move forward with creating a greater paying audience.

Say an independent organistaion such as a Supporters Trust existed and it had it's own finances, it could work in tandem with the club to do many of the things that you and others have suggested in recent times, without the club having to carry the burden on it's own.

Quins RL fans all have ideas and as I've said before all have a vested interest in helping the club remain in Superleague, so rather than be a bunch of know it all keyboard tappers who get frustrated when ideas aren't run with, as the Redskins would have once sang "Keep on keepin' on, yeah" and run with them ourselves?

Judging by the e-mail recieved this morning from Rob Purdham which contains no mention of this offer, the inititative isn't being aimed at current supporters, just another cockup by the club. I hope hoardes of Leeds supporters turn up in football shirts now to really make whoever attempted to implement this reasonable idea look stupid.

Did he not have his Chelsea top on when he rang to book them?

Just had a cracking idea. Going to get a few football shirts together, "hire" them to supporters with no football shirt on queuing to purchase tickets, charge them £5 and saving them £5, have them collected by someone else inside the ground, passed back outside, repeat.

Easy money icon_biggrin.gifANCE: icon_biggrin.gifANCE: icon_biggrin.gifANCE:

Quote: Dave Lister "bizzare and pointless'"

Sports-loving kids in London (ones who read the Metro and Sun sports pages every morning) I've talked to about this thought London Broncos just packed in. They see Quins, they think Union and there's nothing to disabuse them of this. The club has no profile because every time they do anything, most people assume it's to do with someone else. You wouldn;t have thought things could go backwards from the Broncos days but in this respect the anecdotal evidence suggests they have.

Hope a seperate email is going out to all the Union Fans. I think if I lived near the stoop and they were showing England v Australia in the bar before a Union game I would definately go down for the atmosphere. icon_wink.gif
