| Quote: wire-quin "We were hammered in every facet of the game. Bullied up front and mesmerised by there attack on the back of that.
They are a very good side. They slow the ruck down very well, but also speed the ruck up when they are being held down by fighting there way up, unlike us. There line speed is good and goal line defence aggressive.
On the other hand we were both physically and mentally beat. We missed numerous tackle(10 I think clubby missed) and when we missed them there was no urgency to get back. The "couger" missed one tackle and just jogged back with hands on head. Mentally weak.
In summary woeful. Well done Hudds you were excellent. NB has got some average players playing really well namely Brown, Robinson (Both individually and collectively) Mason and Crabtree to name a few.
I hope our forwards can [iget up[/i to meet what traditionally is a powerful french set of forwards-
The next 3 games on paper are all winable-lets hope we get 6 points from them'"
This is an aspect of us as a team which I dont understand. If you want to get your share of penalties from the refs for holding down you have to put pressure on the refs by trying to get up asap against the defenders. Saints do it all the time and are the smartest at this. Hudds and others have learnt the lesson but our coach doesnt seem to. Penalties are important in RL which is why BM has been complaining about us not getting our fair share, but we must at least 'challenge' the ref to give us them at every oportunity. If we cant be bothered, we cant complain, and will never be a top team.

But when dorn did this after breaking clear Thaler still ignored it. WSe scored from the same attack anyway, but their man should have been penalised and yellow carded. That was simply pathetic refereeing. Hopelessly inadequate. Obviously it made no difference to the fact we were well beaten by a better side, but it's infuriating.

| On the whole we were disappointing. I would say it was the worst home performance of the season - but regardless of that, Huddersfield were far too good. David Howell looked very slow, and Danny Orr didn't have one of his better games, but given what he's done for us this season, it's not fair to criticise him at all. On the positive side, Karl Temata played very well.
Bring on Les Cats. Wonder what kind of attendance we'll get for an 8pm Thursday night game with pretty much zero away support coming.

Agreed, thought Clubb was very poor. Flying out of the line frequently desperate to put a big hit in.

I dread to think. Anyway, let's hope we can get back on track results wise. Looking at the table one would feel confident of two wins in the next two games, but surely Catalans can't have declined that much since finishing third last year? And Crusaders can't keep losing can they? There's always that nagging feeling that a winless team will get it's first success against us as it seems to have happened a number of times over the years, most recently at home to Wigan a few weeks back.

| the 2 tries either side of half time killed the game as a spectacle
I thought the ref missed a few high shots but thought he let the game flow.
quins kick return was a positive a lot of awkward balls taken on the full
Giants line speed and passing was fast and hard to deal with and their defence was strong with the only real mistake leading to the quins try in the 1st half with 3 missed tackles in a row.
if you need a scape goat blame me (i was supporting quins in my wire shirt)
obviously brought my warrington luck with me

| Not @rsed what inferior fans like you think, point out another fan who travels 200 miles to get to home matches and then come back and talk to me about commitment.
Is Sheffield 200 miles Listy? Yesterday it was 239 on the clock when I drove back home to Nth Yorks. Nice to have the bottom end of the M1 open fully at last. Last time when we came by train it was a six and a half hour trip each way. Good when they win but a long trail when they lose as yesterday.

| Quote: Ginger Jon "Hudds worked him better -- and scored off their penalties.
Both teams could have had a quarterback for the number of forward passes they were allowed to get away with -- and both sides were mucking about at the tackle/play-the-ball.'"
Always allows far too much messing around at the PTB.

173 miles from my house in Sheffield to The Stoop. 214 miles if I go back to Maidstone.
HTH.

Well, to be fair, he did score a try and he is a young lad still learning the game. There were others in the defensive line who were worse but I can't see the value if laying blame at such a collectively poor performance. Every player could, and hopefully will, do better against the Cats on thursday. Let's not get on their backs, lets get behind them and make sure we get a needed win.

I second that. If we hit form we can see off the Cats and the Celts and be in the top four!

Don't get me wrong, he took his try very well indeed. I'm not blaming him at all, just noting, as PP has pointed out on another thread, that he misses a lot of tackles because he is looking to smash people rather than defend properly.
