| Quote: jaybs "Disappointing once again to hear last night many signings from Our Club ready to be announced, it something that seems to happen annually, I think it is completely wrong the date that The RFL set for players to be signed so early, this morning once again there are several players from Super League clubs moving.
The only positive is how well Our First Class Academy played at the weekend to beat The City of Hull Academy in Hull, some real talent there, I suppose clubs in The North will already be keeping an eye on them.
It's just not all about money our players sign for clubs in the North, it is their future these clubs can offer, and this season our position in the league does not help.'"
It is positive that we are continuing to develop players to a level that is attracting bigger clubs. However, there is probably a decent SL side out there of London developed players.

| So Walker to Wakefield, Abdull to HKR. Anyone know of the other players that have turned down contracts or are on the move???
Lets face it, why would any of our players commit to London?? Favourites to go down, seeing their team mates getting offers from elsewhere. The club has shown pretty much zero ambition on or off the pitch this year. Yes we have a great academy but we are not producing players for a London SL team, we are producing players for the rest of SL. I just find it really gutting tbh.

Very much echo this sentiment.

| Some good news at last. Great to keep hold of Smith. I like Aston. If we go down, we have a very good Champ player and if we stay up we have a hungry young player looking to prove himself.

| It's not to doom and gloom lads the halves will be key. Corey Aston would be interesting signing needs to prove something and was very highly rated. And I'd imagine quite cheap salary wise, I am interested in what we do at full back with walker going.
It's been a few years but I'd put kear there. I think it's best position and wear to small at centre for me thats were I'd try to recruit.
Obviously just my opinion and I know it sucks to see players leave. Will just be fascinating to see if we're still in SL.
If we stay up and say up 5 leave we would have a lot of money bro spend. And are recruitment in the last 3/4 years has been brilliant with are budget.

| Well one bit of good news for the squad. is it may not be a player whos resigned next year or the next two years. Its Jamie Langley it has just been announced he is staying with us for the next two years.
This is great news, maybe and it is a maybe some of these other players who are thinking of moving on might just see it's worth hanging around if the coaching staff think it's worth being here.
Sorry if that dont made sense lol

| I know that Danny Ward is getting all the attention at the moment, but I think Jamie Langleys contribution to the teams performance cannot be underestimated.
It is great news that he has signed up for two more years. I do see him as a ready made replacement for Danny, if he gets poached by another club.

1649_1338292262.jpg I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg |

| Smith is good news to hear, and Aston will not let us down, feel for Corey he always seems to be so close to really breaking through Leeds & Castleford, but never quite makes it. Langley is also great news. I'm sure that Danny is half thinking about next season and players, but what is important how well the players are gelling together, giving their all, we could really stay up, but we can't exist on the attendances we are getting. Always remember back to the season when the Aussie clubs came over and were at The Stoop, the attendances then were quite reasonable, were they perhaps the best we have had?

In terms of Super League, our best average attendance was in SL1 at the Valley at 5,699 (including 10,014 vs Wigan in Round 21). The World Club Championship games happened the year after when we were at The Stoop. All these games attracted good crowds (Canberra 7,819;Brisbane 9,846;Canterbury 6,923;Cronulla 6,239). Our SL2 average was 4,941 (including 9,166 vs Bradford in Round 22 on a day that was memorable for other reasons).
Having finished 4th and 2nd in the first 2 years of SL, our crowds dwindled along with our form over the subsequent 4 years (2 more years at The Stoop then 2 years back at The Valley) and we averaged only 3,233 by SL6.
The move to Griffin Park seemed to stabilise crowds over the next 4 seasons (a period in which we also achieved the elimination playoffs twice). By our final season at Griffin Park we averaged 4,003 for SL10 (an average of over 4,000 for the first time since SL2).
The move back to The Stoop for SL11 saw an average of 4,917 but this was clearly distorted by a 12,031 gate for the visit of Huddersfield which was a double header with the Harlequins union side.
Our crowds saw a steady decline over this spell at The Stoop reaching an average of just 2,380 by SL18. This coincided with the slide to the nether regions of the league.
The capitulation was completed by the move to The Hive for SL19 where we averaged an abysmal 1,294 and got relegated to The Championship.
Let's just say the potential of the club to average 5,000+ with a competitive SL side has slipped away over time.
