Taken some big beatings
Introduced some youth
18’s and 20’s played some decent stuff
Injuries took there toll
Although we played some expansive rugby it was very hap hazard
Good win at the Pies
The Orr/Randall switch (7&9) wasn’t right'"
Glad it is over
inability to complete 6 tackles/losing ball on 1st tackle/losing ball in own 25 - you can have the best attack in the league but you will not win many.........................................

| One we'll all want to forget. Somewhat inexplicably, a group of McDermott believists here decided that it isn't the coach's fault if a team plays poorly and loses matches. For much of the season the team simply wasn't at the races. It wasn't just the lack of experience; There was quite obviously a lack of skill and finesse in the side. Still, at least 2011 presents the chance of a fresh start with a new coach and (hopefully) some improved personnel.
On the positive side, Jones-Bishop was excellent and I like the look of Andy Ellis. Lamont Bryan played his heart out every game - he's the new Joe Mbu; Which presumably means he'll get released twice, because we're 'recruiting a better class of player' then we raid Hull KR for some of their rejects. FFS.

| Agree re Lamont and Andy Ellis. Actually though David Mills played well, thought he was a dead loss first time around but this time much better going forward, though he must improve his handling...................

| Typical negative, predictable and boring comments!!!!!!!!!!
How about looking for positives, like being 7th in clean breaks made this season, and 3rd in the list of most offloads.

| 3rd in off loads is an incredible stat when you think the big teams these days have placed a greater emphasis on it

| I think Williamson's attempted conversion on Friday summed it up, A for effort but nowhere near good enough. Unless the club get a make over, a new coach with new ideas and some go forward we will soon be back in the swamp that has been Quins RL.
We have to catch the imagination of the London RL fans first and make some sort of splash on the conciousness of the London sporting public, how? I have no idea, but a winning team would help.

I'm not sure on the A for effort side. Too many times it seemed like mental weakness. Players like JOC are the Jamie Carraghers of our team; they may not be the best, but he leaves the field knowing that he put his full heart and soul into the game. Didn't see that from many others.
It is the first time at the Stoop that I have seen so many games where teams have been out of sight and taken their foot of the gas, ie Huddersfield and Wigan. We were beaten teams, and we had very little to trouble them.
Core skills of catching the ball and a quick whip pass, ie the Salford game at the Stoop, where we dominated the game, but Salford won with quick accurate wide passes that won them a game that territorially we dominated and looked a decent side.
The wrestle is an issue, we just seem unable to dominate on the floor. Perhaps a visit from a wrestling coach may be a good use of a few hundred quid for a one-off session.

I seem to recall watching a dvd / documentary on this subject some time ago, a lot of northern clubs do this on a regular basis

You react about as well to criticism as Ricky Gervais.
How can you possibly be satisfied with the 2010 season? Really, that's not a rhetorical question, I'd geniunely like to know what all the positives are.

| Disappointing, depressing even at times. Don't think poor results were down to a lack of effort - more to do with a lack of real size and quality in the pack and a lack of direction/confidence. Crowd figures are desperate and I fear it'll take more than a moderately successful side to boost them. I'd go for regular Friday night football. It may not be good for the away fans but the Stoop has a good buzz about it on a Friday night which may help to attract the type of fan who attends for the beer and the craic rather than the rugby itself.
Positives, as said by others;
We appear to still be in business despite rumours to the contrary only a week or two ago.
Young Londoners breaking through - I know some on here don't rate all of them but the fact they are coming through in numbers can only be a good thing. Importing the bulk of your players from the North/Down Under is not sustainable despite the short term gains.
Ellis and Randall are as good as any club has at no' 9
It's the off-season (for us at least) so we can dream for a while about some star signings!
