Yep cherry picking, the context of my post was complaining about numbers at a forum when you could not be bothered to turn up is a bit lame.
I was not bigging up or critisising numbers.

Your source for "2,000+" actually said "2,000".

In fact, I suspect that Tre got his figure from a man not prone all to exaggeration, Dr Koukash. And what did Dr Koukash say? You look it up. But far from being 2,000+, it was less than 2,000.

My point is that almost no effort was made to get as many people new and old to this event and use it as a way to sell the club.

There were 2000 people at the Salford open day (according to lots of sources at the club and from fans of the club and I've seen pictures) and only about 50 at ours (according to Ian Ramsdale and other fans who were there).

My point is as much about the comparison in effort to make it a powerful event. We made no effort to sell ours and make it well attended they made a HUGE effort.

Does anyone make an effort when they're paying lip service?
