Am I permitted to agree with you without it being classed as Hughes bashing? I would imagine that as he's spending to the cap he believes he's going to get quality players.

| Quote: Southern Reiver "Our chances of some 'big' name signings disappeared a while back, so not sure what people are expecting. It will be players looking to prove themselves, make an impression and help us move forward or maybe get a bigger gig elsewhere. Well that's probably the theory. Foster and Ackers fit that bill and hopefully Hendo sees something in them. We at least know Foster can hack a few weeks away from home. And would the owner say anything but positive things about next season?
In terms of signings are we planning for a faster game rather than just the grind up front?'"
Its not so much "big" names, but Broncos have said we will be spending to the cap this season. Looking at the squad, where is all the money going then?? Are we paying over the odds for some players?? Compare with the rest of the teams in champ is there that much of a difference?? If we are paying to the cap I would expect on paper at least a very strong championship squad, currently I would say it is a fairly average/decent Championship squad
Re the game plan, I was worried last season when I heard Grima say it will be a "skills" based team. That is fine but you need to earn the right to play that way, impose yourself on the oppo and then let loose. If we don't bulk up upfront we will find ourselves going up north and getting battered again. I would be amazed (and disappointed) in we don't bring in some grunt

| I should think Henderson has his work cut out trying to get anyone to play on a park in the most expensive rugby league area there is.

Lovegrove and Wallace are nothing more than moved up second rowers. Not convinced Everett is a prop either. Based on the last few seasons we should get two and a third games out of Offerdahl.

| Next up we have a new member joining the coaching staff, former GB & England player. Also Super League winner. Any ideas?
Announced tomorrow.

Andy Farrell appears to be at a loose end. Is that winner or just a typo and should say winger?

| Jamie Langley it is then. Got plenty of experience to impart. The Sheffield connection again!

| Pretty strong addition to the coaching team and as appears to be the norm with our assistant coaches can be dragged out of retirement and onto the pitch when the need arises!

David Hughes - The Gerald Ratner of Rugby League? Discuss. Or not as the case may be.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_66844.jpg |

| The thing with Jamie Langley, he will be out to prove himself as a coach, hope that he will be able to bring the academy on.

| If London get injuries I understand that but frankly a fully pro team in this division shouldn't be relying on that.
There are very good semi pro players who won't turn pro. I get that. Equally there are young lads chasing the dream who will play for nothing. Different sport but in my non league football days I knew a lad who signed for Dagenham & Redbridge FC for £75 a week + a travel card. He was on more than that in non league but he was 17, living at home and chased a dream. 10 or so years on he is a professional footballer and on more than £75 a week.
London, in their current position, should not be relying on a retired bloke playing a few games a year. Hopefully he has been signed as a coach. Anything else is a bonus.

| Bet Joe Keyes is happy, correct me if I'm wrong ,but didn't our new coach deliberately knock him out in our home game against Sheffield?
