Better than I expected.......but they just don't have enough talent/experience for SL. Wire sounded sloppy in the first half but the clicked in the second and we were overrun. |

1st half brilliant a shame about Wires 2nd & 3rd tries. 2nd half appalling; and Atkins last minute intercept pass summed it up.

That's about the size of it really although we didn't look half bad in the 1st, Tony Smith must have put a rocket up his lads at half time as they were like a different side. We had very little in the way of chances after the break and blew the few we had. Was impressed with Wire's determination not to concede in the 2nd half despite the game being well and truly won. At least there was some effort being showed by the Broncos - a big plus after last season! |

It looked like a fitness issue tbh, first half very good just nothing in the tank 2nd half.
It was similar to the 19's game in which got the first 25 they looked very strong but then just dropped off.

My first visit to The Hive today, and I enjoyed the experience, although the sunshine helped!
Nice compact ground, which I think could generate a good atmosphere with 3-3,500 in there.
As for the performance, it was nice to be up at half time, even with the knowledge that Wire would come good in the 2nd half. Can't fault the effort.
Back on Saturday!

Maybe games against the top teams away from home anyway we should rest a few plyers if we can't play 80 mts? |

The No 3 (Atkins) is useless.
