| BBC Sports site reporting David Hughes as saying
"It's a very delicate question. We feel obliged to look around at where we can play and there are not many options.
"We've an option at the Stoop for two more years and it's highly likely we'll declare that."

| Quote: Perry "Now I could get all nit-picky and point out that Saracens admin and training base is in St Albans. But even where clubs do have some presence in London, how many people passing through the turnstiles know or care? Not many I'd bet.
Now slightly off-topic here but you can answer a question for me. I was under the impression that around 1995 all the clubs split into a professional and amateur arms, which is how there is still a London Scottish in the lower leagues even though the pro London Scottish went bust. Doesn't that mean the Wasps based in Ealing are legally a separate entity to London Wasps?'"
I was under the impression Cockfosters was still used by Saracens. Presumably St Albans will no longer be used once they are at our old stadium.
I have no idea what their fans think as I don't go to union matches, but having a base still in London will surely keep their profile up by retaining their traditional membership. I think it is safe to say all of London Welsh's activities bar first team fixtures will take place at Old Deer Park this year.
I can only guess on your question, but I would be surprised if there was not a legal separation. Both Skolars and Hemel do it (possibly because of the tax breaks community clubs get). Both London Scottish and Richmond went bust, but survived in some format. I believe London Scottish are back in the second division now, presumably making them semi-pro. Richmond I think are one level below. I've been to Wasps' club this year a couple of times (for league) and there doesn't appear to be that much of a split in that the pros train there and all their memorabilia and cups etc are on display there.
All off topic of course, except to say that there is importance in setting down roots and engaging with a community, something our club has always failed to do.

From the horse's mouth. OK, Bronco's mouth. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-league/19344240
Well done to Ian Ramsdale for bringing some facts in to counter all the ludicrous speculation. Thanks Rammo.

Black Backgrounds/Zoot.gif Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

Have been told that Quins RU have "structural debt" of £25 - 30 million, so additional revenues from whatever source would be most welcome.
Understand that they got themselves a "music licence" in the hope of working with promoters to put music events on at the Stoop (using the whole stadium) in the summer months. Understand one promoter sounded them out to use "indoor facilities" but no deal forthcoming.
Perhaps anyone winning on Friday's Eurolotto could buy a 50% stake in the Stoop for Bronco's to have for future use??

Oh come on, look at the positives. 28 pages of debate on here without it degenerating into a slanging match, got to be a record.

That would do perfectly on the old RAF Uxbridge rugby pitch, which happens to be laying to waste. Already has floodlighting, one covered stand and I believe Wasps are looking to move back closer to NW London, Ideal opportunity if you ask me, very good travel links, close to all major motorways, Brunel Uni over the road and my union club at Uxbridge Cricket Club for training facilities.

If that is the case like many Super League clubs they are spending far too much money, which they clearly do not have, but now players are on such high salaries how do you ever reduce them?

Union's problem comes from accross the channel. The French clubs are spending money like water and driving wage inflation. The English clubs are desperately trying to keep up and as a consequence they are all either reliant on wealthy benefactors or running up debts.
Of course, it's not sustainable and only a matter of time before something gives.
