Good signing. Whatever his shortcomings, and I'm not convinced they're too bad, he represents a big improvement. Have to ask why it took Monday's debacle to prompt this.
Give Sharp a go at centre, put Melling on the other wing, Clubb in the pack/bench/rest area, Randall and Orr in their right positions, and we might see some improvement, I got the impression last season that Gale was much less likely to go into headless chicken mode with Orr in the halves with him.
And surely it's time to give Kaye a chance, especially as Saints are currently playing with 3 hookers.

The club's silence on the fitness of KT, Howell and Ellis is at its usual deafening level. Howell was supposed to be having a scan on his injury a week ago. Wonder if he's been sat, forgotten, in an NHS waiting room somewhere? |

Would it work if Howells not back, that Sharp could move into centre and have Penny on that wing with him and move Melling to O'C's wing to play along Clubb. Dont think Clubb would get away with going walk about so much with Melling there having a go at him, where as O'C is young and maybe not sure if should have a go at him.
Myself i think a Sharp/Penny combination could work. Sharp likes to go in a tackle not scared to try a side step,can be hard to put down at times but he also likes to try and off load,well with Penny there on wing if he can mange a off load to him and with his pace might get him in or near try line anyway.. Just a question thats all ![]()

Remarkably quick not sure on his handing though, he can have a habit not to take the ball with him and not particularly good in defence. Did perform well last season at Widnes but doesn't seem able to break into first team at Warrington. Saw him play u20 against Saints a few weeks ago a he crossed the Saints line three or four times unfortunately for Wire the ball didn't. Good luck to the lad, hope it works out.
