| Quote: sogspurs "Wow!!!
That has to be one of the best all around team performances I have seen, every one of our players played well, they should all be proud of themselves today.
I'm on the coach back to London now and I'm still grinning like a Cheshire cat! We have a great bunch of fans who made last night even better, singing happy birthday to Keith Senior was one of the funniest moments, and " a point per fan, we're happy with that".
I have a couple of good photos that I will share with everyone when I work out how to...'"
I take it that we managed better ball retention and cut out the unforced errors this time. This has been a major problem this season where we have given possesion away easily especially in our own half and been punished for it. Seeing as how we have played so well without Danny Orr its good to know that BM may know the best selection for this problem in case we have to cover for him again.

| Just got back. Brilliant game
Pluses-
2 Aussies(11 & 12) had there best games
Back 3 went really well Melling, Willie and Gardner
Purdo and Dorny played well
Pack missed nothing in defence
Gafas best game this year, had senior in his pocket all night.
Very few mistakes or penalties
Minuses
Haggs said in the bar it is the same knee he has injured
They got 4 points!!!
Reserves got beat-played well second half after conceding more than 30 in the first half

Do you think Cougar has fully recovered from his hamstring injury? We need as many fit bodies as pos now with Hecks and Haggs injured

simpsons/017.jpg Welcome Quins Kitties born 02.04.09 -
Purdo - Determined, loveable with a "can-do" attitude. A born leader.
Louie - Big, white and fluffy. A very noisy prop forward.
Harley- Cute and gorgeous (just like our no.9) Well, I couldn't call her Chad, could I?
Update on Quins Mogs :-
Purdo - deffo leader amongst Mogs. The Capo.
Louie - turned out to be more like Louie Spence than LMS. Re-named Judas.
Harley - Cute but not as gorgeous as our no.9.
Oh well, at least I haven't got a Willy.:simpsons/017.jpg |

| Glad Gardner had a good game (thought he had a good game against Celtic).
Thought Chad 2 must have had a good game as he features in a lot of the photo's posted on here.
Haggy situation a bit worrying. Hope Davey boy gets over his injuries and gets his chance soon.
Who kicked the 40/20? Can't believe we've got another one!

Haggy situation a bit worrying. Hope Davey boy gets over his injuries and gets his chance soon. Davey has a bad muscle injury by all accounts as does Joe
Who kicked the 40/20? Can't believe we've got another one! I think it was Dorn, against the wind as well.

I can only think of two errors that we made, we were forcing Leeds to make errors, I know it's not an issue because we won but the ref saved Leeds conceding at least one more try (purdo was not held up we could all clearly see it) and we should have got a new set of six from 5m in front of their posts but the ref gave them a penalty instead. Saying that he did disallow their break away try.Credit to Curtis melling, who tracked him all the way back to our line even though the whistle had been blown.
Did anyone else hear the headingley announcer when he read out our team and announced our number 3 as Mark Gafa?

| We had a very definate try disallowed by the touch judge he informed Ganson that the ball was held up. This was totally wrong. Dorn very unlucky not to score a try, he took a very nasty full force kick in the head but to be fair it was accidental and finally Leeds try should never have been awarded JJB obstructed and then Burrow knocked on as he picked it up. Score board said they scored 4 points but I know in truth we nilled them. MOM hard to say they all played well. Outstanding game, Leeds fans were magnificent in defeat and I would think all Quins fans who were able to be there will have a sore throat today

It's easy to make a mistake as Chris Melling would point out

I thought it was Golden who had the disallowed try. (As he & Purdo both wear headbands they can easily be confused.) He certainly grounded the ball cleanly though; he seemed to have been just about held up but was still struggling to move forward when his arm suddenly popped out through a gap and placed the ball just over the line, and I couldn't understand why it was disallowed. All I could think of was that Ganson had prematurely called the tackle complete before the defenders had fully halted our man, but he already seemed to have moved into position to give it before eventually disallowing it. Agree with the extra set of six not given, their player stuck his leg out to block Purdo's kick well inside the ten metre line. both thses incidents occurred in th first half when we wre already ten points ahead and denied us the opportunity for a bit more breathing space before withstanding the inevitable Leeeds onslaught in the third quarter. On the whole though I felt Ganson handled the game well. The infringement for their disallowed try happened too far away to tell what happened - presumably either an offside by Donald or an obstruction by someone else - but Ganson certainly doesn't shirk from giving unpopular decisions in front of a partisan crowd. The penalty that resulted from that incident, then the drop goal shortly afterwards finally killed off the Leeds challenge for good.
That was an immense performance by Quins and just shows what can be achieved by a tight knit team with the confidence and coolness to play a largely error-free game. Leeds repeatedly fumbled the ball under pressure, like we have in some of our recent home defeats against the likes of Wigan and Catalans. Our tries were superbly crafted with some excellent ball skills and imagination unlocking the home defence.
As always there were a few people getting upset at any decision going against the home team, but the Leeds crowd seemed very generous in defeat. I've applauded their team and the likes of Saints off the pitch at the Stoop after they've turned us over in style in the past, so it was nice to see our team getting a smilarly warm ovation at their place.

Could have been, I was assuming it was Purdham because I saw the headband, didn't look at the numbers on the back, I was just so shocked that they gave it as held up that I didn't look at him running off...
