Should we be recruiting from hills hoists wests etc for our reserves?
I can't believe there's a chasm in standard to what we have now.....u18s or kids in 2nd grade league doesn't work....you need gnarly seasoned players.

Work permit issues for some. Others just wouldn't want to do the travel / required level of commitment for pin money realistically. The prospect of weekly hammerings won't help.

Playing at Ealing, on the main pitch, short travel etc.....shows up Wimbledon as an even bigger mistake

It's more the away travel. In my London days I knew a few people who turned down Skolars to continue playing recreational as they didn't fancy traveling to Cumbria for £25 or so a week

It's a shame, because I remember the hoists being better run than QRL before I left. I know it was about a load of overseas guys seeing Europe etc, but they had social media, sponsors and events nailed down.

Reserves were at home again on Sunday. I should have checked the RFL Match Centre in advance as I probably would have gone.

Anyway, they lost 10-30 against Huddersfield.
