Was it not the BBC who started broadcasting the video refs comments. It did seem messy at the weekend, but only because the VR talked through his process. More transparent than Sky, where everyone gets to make their mind up which may then agree or disagree with the decision made.

Most grounds were built with pitches in yards, has the use of metres resulted in smaller run off areas or were the in goal areas previously 10yards ( now 8 metres)

Field dimensions are measured in mtrs not yards that includes in goal area. My point is the commentators not knowing what the VR is meant to look at is not surprising when they can't even get a basic principle of the game.
Listening to the VR at least we know what they are looking at.

I am so pleased to see Barthau is back in the squad. I hope he is in because he is fit to play, not for his language skills.

If he is fit to play it will be interesting to see the final 17.

My thoughts entirely.

I am traveling there tomorrow hoping for a win. However if we lose, we lose. Last year we lost to Leigh first up and that season ended okay.
If we are going to make it back to Super League, then the standard that we will have to achieve will be that or higher than Catalans.
We just have to learn from the experience.

I would leave Barthau and Evans out for this one. Roqica has had his best games in the last 2 (starting to drive harder and show more aggression) and think it would be good for him and us to carry on that momentum. He would also be more of a handful for a SL side to handle. Barthau, I would prefer to give an extra week rest/training and bring him back (potentially) stronger next week. It's a great feeling to be in the position when we are struggling to pick the 17 because of how good everybody currently is!
