Quote Sorry Rosie, just because he doesn't come and kiss the fans at the end of a game shouldn't detract from the fact that he has been our oustanding player on the pitch by a country mile.
Look at the stats....they will tell you who has given his all on the pitch.
Then again, are we voting for what players have done on the pitch or is it more a question of who smiles or doesn't mind having their photo done?'"
I really couldn't care who smiles and has photos taken, signs autographs or spends time with fans. I dont go to the game to neck gallons of lager or mix in the bar with players afterwards it's each to their own. I go to the game to hopefully see a professional game of rugby league which happens to be a game I love. There haven't been many games this season which fall into that category. And to add fuel to the fire I would prefer the supporters award to go to someone who acknowledges those very people. I don't entirely disagree with your comments and I did say in my opening post that either Gower or Melling would also be strong contenders due to the effort they put in each week . However, I don't feel Gower relates to supporters so would he really appreciate a supporters award. I think Dixon would appreciate it more. I appreciate Gower doesn't like losing none of us do. I appreciate he is a great player but I also appreciate it is bad sportsmanship to walk off and not shake the hand of the opposition. Just my thoughts.
