Right, fed and watered after the long slog back on the train and my thoughts.......
The good points; it was a lovely sunny sunday afternoon, The Paddock Express ran on time both ways, The beer in Fernandes Brewery Tap was good and the apology from David Hughes and Gus McKay
The Bad Points: No communication, no cohesion, no spirit, no commitment, glaring big holes up the middle, poor tackling and when they did some were high, Clubby's sin binning, Karl Pryce (yes I know he scored a try but did bugger all else), the walk back to the station.
On the club site today's performance is described as "Dogged", mmmmmm dictionary definition of that word is "Stubbornly persevering; tenacious" I don't know who wrote that tagline but they were obviously wearing rose tinted sunglasses or drank too much in the hospitality suite pre-game. The tagline should actually read "Quins lose the plot again!"
They outplayed us and outclassed us. Saw a comment from Rob Powell about his worries for the next few games, 3 games in 8 days etc all I can say is God help us !!! The RFL will not be appointing a referee for the Cas game, Dickie Bird is doing the honours 'cos it's gonna be a cricket score !!!
.....anybody looking to buy a train ticket to Hull???? it'll be up on ebay soon !!!
