Salford almost fall into the expansion club section as the RFL wants a presence in and around Manchester.
Cas seem to be playing the PR game of we are trying to get Wakey involved, but they don't wanna know.
Wakey are in an IVA, have had problems with the tax people recently, have recruited no-one past 2011, the coach wanted to leave the country, I could go on. Regardless of Wakey saying they can build a stadium in 46 weeks, I think the decision may have already been made for a team in Yorkshire to be replaced one historically part of Lancashire. |

Not strictly true. The Wakefield chairman is in IVA whilst he fights a legal challenge to some land deal that went south and left him with "cash flow" issues. |

Fair dinkum. Doesn't fill anyone with confidence to say that the chairman of the club is experiencing financial difficulties while the club is attempting to get plans for a stadium going. I remember last year they club won a 3 month reprieve from winding up moves brought by HMRC at the High Court in London. But it would be untrue to say the IVA had anything to do with the rugby league club, as you say it was a personal deal, nothing to do with club. I don't know the structure of the Wakefield club; ie owner, benefactors, etc so I cannot say that they are or aren't a financially sound club when viewed as a Super League entity. |

I came to your stadium a couple of years ago and couldn't believe how poor your attendance and atmosphere was , speaking to people over that weekend not that many were really bothered about Quins RL and we were told that a lot of local rugby teams get free tickets to the games but don't even bother turning up.

Remind me, how much debt is Hull KR in? £3 million at the last count. Your chairman claimed you need a 10,000 average to break even, and looking at your average crowds you're obviously going to lose more money this year. Let's see how long it takes for your team of Australians to send you broke. |

I reckon last minute the RFL will bottle it and go to 15 or 16 clubs. Then really tighten the franchise process so that every 3 years one will go only if a sensational franchise is forthcoming from some wealthy backed club.

Without the continued financial support of their sugar daddies most professional sports clubs of whatever sport wouldn't be in existance. My own football club has "loans" of £8million from the owner. And were still ing about in League 1 this coming season. |
