Be nice but can't see it happening somehow, Long isn't getting any younger and I think Potter rates the young lad.

He's hardly been blooding him though. He's only played 3 times this year. Unless he's been injured?

ah....but so will the pies and every other vulture club up there. 12 months with us would be good for his RL education, away from the prying eyes of the "Wigan Development Cheque Book team"

| What about N. Fein. it looks like he's not wanted at NZ Warriors next season. If Brown up at Hudd's was after him at one time he cant be that bad. So if Orr was to go,he might be an ideal player for Gale to work under.

I'd hate to see Brough move to london, because you would become a serious contender. I'd love to see Perry move to yous for exactly the opposite reason.

| Not a serious suggestion this. But Stacey Jones seems likely to lose his place with NZ Warriors. He could probably do a job for us as a stop gap if we needed one. He'll probably end up at Wigan though.

Agree that I wouldn't want him back. Remember his last game for us, play-off at Saints. He got just about every 5th tackle decision wrong and put in some terrible kicks. I thought that TR should have taken him off at half time.'"
Repeat performance for Hull tonight. At least Agar had the gumption to take him off at h-t. (Maybe he's been reading this thread )

| Does anyone think we might see Gigot this season in the first team if Danny gets injured?
He's training with the first team anyway, he's been impressive at 7 for the reserves, or will we have Gale ?
I think Gale's playing 9 for the reserves right now anyway.

Skee has always impressed when I have seen the reserves. I imagine he would be in with a shout, along with as you say Gigot and Gale.

| I hope that next time Orr is injured that BM gives either Skee or Gigot a chance. We will never know if they are SL standard unless he gives them a game and SH is too specialised a position for 'make do' solutions by other non SH players

To be fair, Dorn goes there and Purdham to SO, which worked out nicely for Leeds

Not sure Skee is really SL standard. Gale looks okay having spells off the bench as an impact hooker (even if he does do those silly Benji Marshall style hop, skip, jump routines), but he struggles to control a game which means we fall apart when Orr goes off he's left as the main organiser. In some respects he's just a less effective Rinaldi, Rinaldi was competent at scrum half at SL level, although he was more effective as an option off the bench.

Purdham can play effectively at standoff and centre, but we lose too much from our defence and attacking support play when he moves from loose forward. Not to mention that having him somewhere other than loose forward inevitably costs us a play making option, because none of our other back row forwards are as good with ball in hand.
