| London-Leeds at Aime Giral, July 2005 (?); I think it was a home game for us.
McLinden, Dorn, Leuluai controlling matters. Feleti Mateo cameoing for us too.
Never drank red wine at a match before or since.
Especially satisfying with my Leeds family present.

Hull were on a 13 game unbeaten run and were the form team (also they reached the gf this season). 7-12 at h/t thanks to a henry paul drop goal in the last play of the 1st half. Hull got the first try of the 2nd, then marty got knocked out and came off and I was thing oh crap. Solo and ty smith scored quick succession tries and we held on for dear life for 15 mins.
Sunny warm day, cold beer, and a smashing game. And a good game with mates was had trying to spot the lesser spotted good looking hull woman, there was none on this day, ruff!!!

| Friday 9th Feb St Helens 6 London 14. Coach up, throwing snowballs at the services waiting to see if the game was on, bottles of cider cold in the snowflakes, Marty with hypothermia.

I remember that game - I'm sure I saw little tweeting birds and comedy stars circling round Marty's head as he left the pitch! Games like that are not good for my nerves!

| Friday 23rd April 2010, 20:00
Wigan Warriors 26 (24) VS. London Broncos (6) 38
Attendance: 18,605 Official: P Bentham Venue: DW Stadium
Special St Georges day match has reminded me this week. Normal first half (24-6 down) followed by amazing second half to get the Wigan walk going, only about 1,800 at full time I think! Ben Jones-Bishop got the stud through the skull just before half time (which is why the scrum cap now) tries by all our once greats David Howell, Luke Dorn 2, Will Sharp, Robert Purdham, Chad Randall. Not a bad word said to me in the Wigan pubs that night, all thought we deserved it.

Great shout that, I recall that Leeds battered us in the first half and then we came back in style, think NBQ got a try or two? and again got very think there is a theme here.

| Lots of matches spring to mind (special mention to Homer's pick of the win over Saints at GP...don't remember getting home! and the win in the snow at Saints when IFL was escorted off the pitch by security ) but my personal fav is the 28-24 win over Leeds on 14th June 2008 at T'Stoop.
That win against Leeds was great for a lot of reasons....we had a severely weakened team with 6 or 7 Londoners playing, and Leeds had their usual suspects (and in front of Sky cameras).
We had some newbies with us and some RU mates, and it seemed like a good idea to have a champagne picnic in the car park
I remember that Purdo walked past us as we were getting stuck in, and he told us that he'd done his hamstring and couldn't play (good reason for having another drink or two as we imagined we would have to dull the pain!).
What a great match it turned out to be...Will Sharp scored 2 tries, LMS got sin-binned and Henry Paul (phwoar) kicked 6 out of 6.
Even better was our young'uns beat Leeds, which was a great effort as we had a few regulars playing in the first team.
Great day and my mates got their mugs on Sky telly which pleased them!
Sad to think we have no players left from that day and Leeds have just the 7

| I'm cheating , 3 games, two at Brentford when I think we put 50 passed Widnes and Wakefield in consecutive home games and then Hull away on a Friday night when I think we won 4 - 2 playing an Aussie prop who had flown in that day

Brilliant game

| torn between two - the on-the-road game at Edinburgh when we beat Bradford and Steelo ran his blood to water with something like 88 tackles - or at Headingley when his deciding try again Cas put us in the Final - grown men cried!!!

Yep, I was 20 meters away when Marty jumped on a loose ball in the try zone. I remember it was Hull about 10 out last set and they grubbed a kick into the in goal area. 2 Hull players were running full sprint and when Marty got to it one of the Hull players could not stop his run in time and Marty copped a knee right on the temple whilst in full sprint mode.
I heard the thud from where I was and even the Hull doctor ran on to assist. It looked very serious and all the supporters in the West stand were slient as Marty laid on the deck motionless. Some (about 10) dumbd Hull supporters in the North stand ran down to pitchside to and shouted abuse to an unconcious Marty, disgraceful behavior from the minority! Relief for all when he got up. But then he insisted he was ok whilst wobbling and staggering around like the village drunk until both the Quins and Hull doctors, Robbie Purdham, Lee Hopkins, and the referee all ordered him off and told him his day was over.
Thats the type of player Marty was, in his eyes a serious head injury was still not enough to come off the pitch!! If we had more people like him now we would not be in the situation we are on the pitch at the moment.

I remember the Leeds fans doing a conga through the stands. While they were doing it we kept scoring until when they got round to us we were in front!
Anyone remember the group of Leeds fans dressed as Elvis's.
I think I will go for the Wigan away game mentioned by TallPaul although I think Friday 24th April 2009 at Headingley is a close second, the day we nearly nilled the Rhinos, only Rob Burrow scoring at the death saving them. Think that was also the famous evening of SteveLs half eaten kebab being finished of overnight!
