| Gower is always captain material and have said this a few times in my short time here that he will be an inspiration to a lot of the players in the team with his vast experience in both codes. He would be my No.1 choice as captain. Looking at the photos I took I have one of the pep talk after Skolars scored their 1st half try, and it was Gower who took them into the huddle for a team talk. Anyone take any more snaps? Anyone like the photos posted?
Interestingly there were almost infinite substitutions until I read the programme (did anyone else buy one? Made by the Skolars club so kudos to them) which stated that each team could change as much as necessary for this friendly.

| I thought Rodney performed well today, how you can compare him with Nick the Greek is beyond me.

| Man of the match is Witt for me. But above all this will be a good team watching from a cold sideline today, especially with a few more games under their belt.

| Witt didn't do much but have his perfect goal kicking, for me, Clubb or Kafusi(sp?) was MoM. Both ran the ball in hard, but Clubb tackled hard as well, so for me, it's him.

| When did Clubb go off? It was sometime in the first half I think but he did play very, very well from what I saw. He certainly wasn't there in the 2nd half & the GPS collar studs weren't being used on players either. On recollection Luke Dorn was his usual driving force. I have to admit that I didn't notice Michael Robertson; when was he on?

| Ohhhhh... there was a pile of good attackers today but I can't think who was our best defender was though. A lack of defenders was *uins downfall last season. You?

| Robertson didn't play today, he picked up a knock against Catalans.

If dropping the ball 6 or 7 times is your measure of a good player then we will never agree.
I know he is a GF winner with a top side and I hope he goes well as he is a significant cog in the team. but.............

Personally I can't remember 6 or 7 times, once or twice maybe, he also tackled well.

| The worrying thing for me was that they were unforced errors against a team with slow line speed compared to a SL side.
Possibly the cold, possibly fitness, possible trying to impress, who knows lets hope it improves.
When I watched Nick the Greek in 2 pre season friendlies (Leigh being one) I noticed he was struggling to hold the ball. He had played top level with the Chucks I think and look what became of him-Now im not suggesting this will happen with Rodney as I believe he is a quality player but just a little worrying. Some Aussies take time to adjust

Indeed. So many in fact I was having flashbacks of some of our games from last season.

| Keep the faith in Rodders. I saw enough of him last year in the NRL to think yesterday was a blip and he'll do a good job for us. I know why wq made the comparison with Nick the Greek but tbf, Nick's own fans were bagging him before he left Oz and glad to see him go, whereas that wasn't the case with Rodders.
Enjoyed watching Kaufusi yesterday. If only we had another one or two like him.

| My biggest worry is when the starting props go off, we look too light without Kaufusi on the field, Especially if Clubb isn't on aswell.
Btw, who was the no. 4 and 7 that came on yesterday?
