I think you need to give up with this windup or else you have completely lost the plot.

| A shambles all round, as I and a few others said from Day 1. Not surprised in the slightest.

Ditto. We run the risk of less people knowing who we are than last season.

| 3,546 was the gate for Saints last year...5,029 the average for the last 6 seasons...anything sub 6,000 for the opening game of the season will be a failure.
A tad early to be rubbing your hands with glee and saying "I told you so" Listy, but your day may well come in due course.
The lack of communication, the faffing about with the BETA website, the lack of announcements regarding sponsors etc are all very worrying, but I am still willing to see where we stand after the first 6 games of the season.....and I believe most fans would feel the same.
Tough trips to Wire, FC and the new home of Salford, whislt the visits of Saints, Hudds and Castleford will put the new marketing strategy to the test...
BTW, the 3 home games against those teams in 2011 got 10,299 fans.......10,765 in 2010 and 11,998 in 2009. At the stoop, the best opening 3 games in a season was 2006....15,302
Anything sub 15k for our first 3 home games will be a worry....oh, 8 points from 12 would be handy as well

You seem to be in the know.
What is the strategy? When does it start?

1649_1338292262.jpg I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg |

| I have also know a few colleagues who have read "Obituaries" live in air with false facts and come to regret it, I will judge half way through the season, I do not expect us to just pick up nearly 3,000 fans overnight for the first few games! Of course I am disappointed with the lack of news and merchandise as others have said and I hope Gus listens it did not have to be fancy, even a good car sticker sent to all mailing list fans would have started a little pre-promotion!

I would imagine we may even slide further down in numbers as we seem to be using media that is only searched for or accepted by those who follow the game. What's wrong with good old fashioned radio, newspaper, TV along with traditional internet advertising. The club also missed a trick when doing there promotion on the pre-season work. Instead of aiming at the several hundred existing fans they should have www.telegraph.co.uk/family/pets/ ... video.html used the fact that they have the backdrop to a reasonably funny video and I'm sure they could have our mascots chasing the players towards the road and the players chasing them back into shot with a London Broncos flash at the end. Would not have cost a heap and it would have been seen by more than a few hundred and would have done more promotion beyond the sports existing followers.

| Nothing will change until we put together a competitive team in a ground we can call our own.
We had that chance with Quins and blew it by stinking up the joint ever since the link up

Well a ground of our own isn't going to happen any time soon, so the best course of action we as a club can take is marshall our resources better when it comes to getting the club known to the general public. My only hope at this point is that the club are trying to fly under the radar until they can actually get a bit of hype with SL games in the offing. We had a real opportunity and we could carry on with Marlon Brandoesque quotes like "You don't understand! We coulda had class. We coulda been a contender. We could've been somebody, instead of a team of bums, which is what we are." and yeah it could have been something special but it wasn't to be. Make the best of it while we are there and use the number of positives that playing at that venue and in that locale has to offer, whilst evaluating others for yet another move.

No sadly the ground of our own is not going to Happen any time soon, the ideal impact would have been for the name re-branding etc come with a new ground we own or co-own but we know that is not going to be the case, so I agree with you we have to make the most of what we have got, we need Success on the Pitch as well as off and that will bring in new supporters, our new fan base has got to be general to all of London, so they will accept any move when it happens.
At last some more LONDON BRONCO MERCHANDISE this morning nothing knocks me out, but it is a start, the illustrations are not too good, hope they will soon be larger and on players models, we need to marketing our players, yes Home Grown but such as Michael Whitt who had some magazine coverage at the end of the season about his fitness and looks! as I say I hope this is only the Start!

| What does your own ground matter?
Wigan and Hull dont have there own and get big crowds.
Its about the team and the advertising that supports that nothing to do with the ground and who owns it

Many Wigan and Hull Rugby League Fans also support & identify their Local football team, perhaps more so when at home, not a lot of our fans identify with Quins RU!

Quins RL were so poor over last copule of seasons, that I was converted to RU. Watching London Welsh has been more entertaining than the RL. It is also good to see Quins RU doing well.
