Quote Dave Lister="Dave Lister"Yeah and we spent millions of £ that we didn't have and we went bust when we brought those blokes in. We cannot afford to spend money on such players anymore, and the quota rules are far tighter than they used to be. Rea also brought in plenty of shocking players, but because he had the opportunity to bring in more Australians than is allowed now, some were bound to be successes.'"
Listy, I agree with you to a certain extent, but at the end of the day, it's the coach that control's the team, the way they play, the tactics, the way they line up.
It's the coach's decision.
The players he's recruited have mainly been Leeds academy drop-outs, to put it bluntly, and half of them have left, or aren't being played, and a few are occasionally in the first team, bar Gale, who's a first-teamer, even if he isn't right now.
We might not have the money, but wasting money on players like Mills, Kaye, Nanyn, etc, is huge, as we have such a little amount to start with.
So coming up with the arguement, we haven't got the money anymore isn't that viable, as yes, we don't have as much money as we had when Rea was in charge, but Mc's also wasted quite alot of it.
He just better sort out his tactics, because to me he looks clueless. But we'll see on friday.
