If you're in the park you're probably not trying to focus on watching a group of people doing something unless you're some kind of pervert.

I don't like wearing hats and sunglasses. And if I was in a park (or more likely a beer garden) in the sun I'd sit with my back to it, not looking directly at it! (And quite honestly, if it's really hot I'll sit in the shade.)

Fair enough. I must admit i'm not a huge fan of either hats or sunglasses either but don't have too much of a problem with a bit of sun during the match. I didn't have either yesterday so it was a slight irritation but not major - next time there is an evening game i'd take sunglasses to be on the safe side I imagine.

Yes, I think I was in Row J or something of the big stand for that one, thinking I'd booked for about ten rows from the front, not realising there were Rows AA, BB etc. in front of Row A! And I still got damp! On my way to the ground I literally had to hold onto a lamp post on a pedestrian island at one point to make sure I didn't get blown into the traffic going past, and I saw a bloke wheeling a bicycle (it was far to windy to ride it) have it blown right out of his hands. It was actually quite scary.

As it happens I can't use sunscreen as I'm allergic to it, and I don't go to the beach because I don't like the hot sun. I thought we played in an enclosed stadium, not a f****** beach? More to the point, we play in a good stadium with a nice shaded stand where I could sit out of the direct sun, if that particular stand was actually available on the day. Instead I have to sit in the sun squinting at the pitch and covered from head to toe like I'm in an Islamic republic with a nice shaded stand laying dormant on the far side.

Pity for you. Some of us more fortunates like the sun.

You cant do much about the environment. Not even the Chinese who wanted to get rid of the clouds during the Olympics,
