Second, so the bloke who lives in NZ and does not actually come to any games (Ok 1) is the one person on here who would be happy with a move like the one Wasps are doing.
Oohh look Keepmoat stadium needs some money, why dont we buy that and move up their!!! would that stil;l be acceptable to you Gutters?'"
No Michael... That would be stupid. Coventry is £10 advance return by rail and 1 hour.......like reading and the exiles.

| It's true that Union has improved the administration of its club game no end, while we've had various fat idiots sat in Red Hall assuming that the garden is rosy just because the bit they can see either side of them along the M62 looks OK.
But spinning the move of Wasps to Coventry as a positive is taking it a bit far.
I think the fact that Saracens spent 16 years playing in Watford, 'London' Irish play in Reading, 'London' Welsh play in Oxford, and 'London' Wasps will be playing in Coventry is symptomatic of something else. It suggests to me that for the large part they've given up trying to promote club rugby in London (I discount the double header, that's their version of the Magic Weekend).
Thing is, given how we've moved around and couldn't market water in the desert, is it any surprise that we've had even less success promoting club rugby in London?

| Why is Coventry like reading? Please expand.
So what we have established here then as far as you are concerned as long as we own our own ground it does not matter where we are as long as its no more than a tenner on the train? Not sure how far you are looking to book ahead but I can't find yr tenner tickets
Just in case you missed it, it's London Broncos

Michael. I appreciate you will applaud anything the club does as a positive, but the harsh reality is that under the current owners stewardship we have lost out identity our fans and our SL status. We are actually Fulham crusader bronco harlequin broncos....we've played at more grounds than you've had hot dinners and until the said owner departs we will be stymied by his narrow mindedness. I have not said I want the club to move to Coventry by the way.....I simply said that it would be better to own our ground there than to roam like s being moved along and as welcome as herpes

| GF - the said owner nearly departed at the end of the 2013 season. You're a well-informed bloke - could you tell me how long the queue was to take over from him?

| please explain how London Rugby League club owning their own ground in Coventry would be better off!!! They would not be a London rugby league team if they played in Coventry. They would be Coventry Rugby league starting from scratch.
Who says I applaud everything the club does! get it in to that daft head of yours WE ALL KNOW ITS BEEN POOP, but we are still in existence and in all honesty that's thanks to DH not despite him.
So what is the answer to Andover Boys question?

Nobody wanted to. If he had walkwalked the rfl would have had to have stepped in and we'd have been relegated and folded last month. Instead, Hughes gets to feel leas guilty and foolish for his utter insane mismanagement of the club.
Thanking an idiot for keeping your club alive so he could further destroy it is not a pastime I'll ever do........and that is what some on here are actually encouraging

| We would not have folded last month at all, quite simple we had no staff and no players so the rfl would have done nothing we would not have played any games this season.

| Coventry is an additional hour, not an hour, and an additional £10, not £10.
Playing in Coventry is an unknown, what is known is that they'd be playing in front of two less supporters.

| Another thread that has evolved into the same thread as 100 times before.
It must be the off season with not much to talk about.
Anyone see Wes N performance for Penrith in the weekends State Final ? Hope he gets his catching mojo back before he arrives over here !

Black Backgrounds/Zoot.gif Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

It seems to have escaped some people's attention that there will be a Coventry side in the Championship next season. As for Wasps, this could be construed as a retreat to the heartlands, as RU as a spectator sport only gets decent attendances in the East Midlands and the South West (not stirring it, honest, guv )
