| All very subjective, I think we just have to accept that fans are divided in their East/West stand preference.......some may like the East, but I think the majority prefer the West (LV stand).........but I can`t prove it, as I have done about as much in depth analysis as the club have done in arriving at this decision.
Putting the £5 player tax aside .......The main drivers seem to be that by economising in our use of facilities and limiting our expenditure we will have more funds available for player development/better players.......but we have had much the same set up this season, nothing has changed and what did that bring......Mick Nanyn, Jonny G etc etc.
Plus of course the `Early Bird` ticket prices are cheaper than last year which provides less revenue = no improvement in player standard. Do the management team really think that the number of new supporters will grow just because seats are a little cheaper, when it is clear to see that the funds will not be available to improve the team. If we can`t compete on the pitch then it`s game over for Quins RL.

And if they rise people start complaining about the higher prices for a poor product. The club can't win.
I'd sooner have 3000 people paying £10 than 1500 people paying £20 and think the former solution is more attainable.

Thanks...I liked it too
Are you sure about that. We apparently are running at the top end of Cellery Cap with a threadbare squad. We have the lowest crowds in SL and have done since the start (apart from halifax 2003). The same man is at the helm that steered us, in a titanicesque way into the HMCustoms and excise rocks in 2005.......
Quote: Dave Lister "Plus, you keep mentioning 3 empty stands - there will be 2 empty stands and this is justified given our current levels of supports and I cannot see us getting to the point where we will need to open the 2 largest stands or even 3 stands.'"
Sorry, but the club have graded games............Leeds, Wigan, St's etc....they open the North. All others, sit with us in the East. If you don't believe me, phone the club and ask the operations manager.
I am not here to bitch with you listy, but the majority of people I have spoken to about this have said that they preferred the west stands. When quins fans had the choice last year, I believe that the west stand had more quins fans in it than the East. As the club listened to the fans over match day, why not ask the fans about the stand?
CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGEMENT is missing at the club and they will lose ST holders as a result of this and other things that have been handled terribly this year.....I know of 6 season tickets not being renewed in 2010.....

| I wonder if all these people moaning and threatening the club with the withdrawl of their season tickets will:
a) go through with it
b) do it because the team are doing badly.
I wonder if these people would be so hasty if were were challenging for the play offs? Me thinks not. So I wonder where the problem really lies? Its not about the stands or anything. The team are crap and people are throwing their toys about.
I am pretty sure the club know about the costings of how to run the Twickenham Stoop seeing as its been open a while and they know the costs of opening all 4 stands and the revenues coming into all 4 stands and surrounding concessions.
The only thing I do agree with you on is the fact that opening 1 stand is silly. Keep the North Stand open for all games.

But thats not the case is it, so your argument does not apply. I am not even complaining about the ST price we pay today........although given our predictable season end collapse year after year, you can understand why some might question the value for money.
I'd sooner have 3000 people paying £10 than 1500 people paying £20 and think the former solution is more attainable.'"
I would also like to think cheaper prices would add numbers to the gate, but a sales pitch of `we may be crap, but we`re cheap` is not guaranteed to bring in the punters either. I come back to my original point.......if the restricted use of facilities again in 2010 is meant to enable us to invest in better players/development, then how come it made no impact this year?

The people I know who will not renew are not newbies, but fans who have followed the game for ages, some since Fulham. These are not the sort of people who dummy spit because the team are not performing, but because the club have an attitude that stinks at times. We had a fans forum when PB joined and we were told that crowds would improve. Well, if all they have achieved since then is to p155 off existing fans, I think we can say that we were fed a line.
Attendances this year are terrible, the stewarding is terrible, apparently the food in the jesters has got progressively worse, the ticketing system is a joke, the bar staff are useless and the club havemanaged to annoy the volunteer group to the extent it has disbanded (again).....
Top Quality management.
I know you can't make an omlette without breaking eggs, but all in all, this has been a terrible year for the Club.
Lastly, search back and you will see that even in play-off years I was still banging on about the failings in the back office at the Broncos.....
I repeat, the non-renewees are not fairweather fans, just very disgruntled.
Better news is the club have managed to get rid of Storminbronco

How about the notion that the funds we had were terribly misspent?
I agree with your point about we maybe be crap but we're cheap, and a fine balance must be achieved. I don't think we can go selling our product as some sort of expensive niche item anyway.

So you can catergorically tell me these people would not be renewing if the team had won 10 of the last 10 games instead of losing 9 of them? I would be amazed if so. This is our worst run for ages and what a surprise, its an easy excuse to blame it all on the club and the lack of customer services whereas the real reason is the team are a dire embarrassment and nobody can be bothered anymore.
To me this further emphasises how important the on pitch activity is and to be honest GF, I believe if people tell you they are leaving solely because of the mismanagement of the club, they are liars. Mismanagement of the club or not, I will continue supporting the club as I go to watch professional Rugby League. The only thing that will stop me is if the professional Rugby League falls to a standard where it no longer entertains me. Not because I can't sit in the seat that I want to sit in or some nasty Northerner is occupying my seat or theres a walkway in front of me.

| I don't think anyone would argue that this has been a poor year for the club, both on and off the field.

At least that is how I remember it.'"
You could buy season tickets for either the East or West in 2006 (most opted for the East) then for 2007 all STHs were moved to the West with generous discounts for former East Stand STHs renewing as compensation for having to move. The North Stand was also open for 2006, primarily for away supporters, but closed for the next two seasons except for one or two games where there was a larger than usual attendance. One reason given for closing it was that its lower roof made away supporters sound louder.
(The West Stand was most definitely complete and open for the first game as Quins against St Helens as I was sitting in it!)

I didn't say they were leaving the club. I said they will not be renewing their ST's. They are fans of RL and their club is Quins, but they will no longer be prepared to attend every game just because they have forked out £300+ on a ST. I for one, don't blame them.
Listy, regardless of the results on the pitch, the club really have managed to right royaly F^CK things up this year.
I commented after the fans forum that there was a level of arrogance in some of the responses from DH, PB and BMcD.....It was like we should feel priveledged that they bothered to turn up. The "we're OK for money" and it's "Ian Lenagans problem" answers just didn't add up.
40,846 people have watched us play at the Stoop in SL this year........and if IL's assertion that each is worth £9.50, then £388,037 is the gate revenue. That's only 50k more than leeds raised from their games against Wigan and Bradford FFS.......How, in anyones world is that a positive?
Bums on seats is directly connected to the standard of player we can attract....and rather than actively attracting new fans, the club have managed to alienate some of their longest standing supporters.....That's TOP QUALITY MANAGEMENT??
Nothing will ruin my enjoyment of my last home game in September and I will always look for Quins RL results first thing and try to catch matches on Fox , but I honestly do fear for the future of the club....and I am not alone.

Effectively they are unless they are stupid enough to pay walk up prices every week. I will attend every game I can because watching Rugby League is my number 1 priority as a supporter of RL and Quins. If they dont want to spend £300 anymore then that is fine. Why can they not spend £100? I don't know why you have brought the costings into this
