34025_1447092002.png THE ONLY WAY TO GET SMARTER IS BY PLAYING A SMARTER OPPONENT

| Quote: Under the sticks "I can`t imagine why Barnet is even being considered or discussed......I still have nightmares from our past use of the ground. Terrible ground and travel links. Might as well throw Crystal Palace into the pot as well. Why the urgency to get ourselves into a load of debt that we cannot afford. There is an old saying along the lines of `you never appreciate what you have until its gone` and should we move on I think we may come to regret leaving the Stoop.'"
But when the until it's gone is out of our control is it not prudent to look, or at least entertain the idea of moving to another location or find a permanent home. We have been up front with Quins about this so they won't get jittery and just dump us as £200k is still good money to them and it allows us to look for something better in the short to medium term, whether that is a new rented home or one of our own. £200k for a year is affordable to DH, a stadium is possibly beyond his means, so we will stick with the rented format for the time being and who knows we may be forced out if someone with an agenda at Quins pushes up the rent or moves us on all-together.
Stoop is great but it may not be a London Broncos decision.

I think some people would rather have us play on Hackney Marshes than the Stoop.

| There is no harm in looking at various options. I am glad the club are looking long term, we have been be-devilled with short termism all our history. If a football club or union outfit want to share a new stadium on a 50/50 basis why not if we can afford it?
IIRC the cuckoos do very nicely with moving in at good rates in neighbours gaffs!

Yes long term I want to see London Broncos move away from The Stoop and either own our own ground or co-own, sorry Hackney Marshes would not meet the criteria of Super League LOL!

By less than 750 seats, I would think that if DH wanted to or is made to look at this option the RFL would most likely waive this minor rule for SL licences.

(Just whack that link in and remove the space at the start)
Will the RFL or the Broncos identify a site near a major motorway, a major railway station and somewhere we have a bit of history. Oh yeah and manage to get Brentford FC interested in a joint project. Well someone put that number to the club and see how serious they are.

Brentford's long-term ambition is to move to a purpose-built 23,000-seater stadium at Lionel Road, near Kew Bridge, which they may also share with the Broncos.
the Brentford chairman stated: "It is vitally important that the two clubs can continue in unison as we are both looking to establish a brand new sports facility in this area. An agreement such as this only confirms our joint intentions."
Are the Bees still angry that we mugged them off after agreeing a five year tenancy in 2003 and then pitching up at the Stoop two and half years later under a completely different name

Since Barratt pulled out plans for the new stadium seem to have really stalled near to Kew Bridge Railway, recently it was thought that the Bees backer was interested in Wasps, but not to buy as it was hoped but ground share, now I hear they are looking to London Welsh, 23,000 seems a little big for Brentford.
