| Moran was a 7 not a 6. Dorn would have a shot at a Broncos team but not a Quins team. Otherwise can't disagree with a lot of that.

I reckon that's a pretty fair line up on both sides, but I reckon the Broncos would win - good way to get round the Edwards/Moran debate, by the way.

| Edwards wasn't in the same league as Moran when playing for the Broncos. Moran took stick from time to time, but looking back, he is probably one of the best players that played for London Broncos.

Different types of players, of course, but in 30 years of watching this lot, come September, I cannot remember one other player who could galvanise the team single-handedly as Edwards did.

I'm really struggling to remember Edwards as having that sort of effect on our team, but I was quite young so I'll take your word for it

Maybe....but dennis the menace was a try scoring machine and us non-purists will always go for the glory players. Like Greenwood/NBQ....both get mentioned in dipatches, but both only really had good year each.
For Me, the Martin/roy centre partnership would be gold dust for the current team.
A for wells.....he certainly stopped more tries than he scored

| To put a slightly different slant on a "best ever" squad, did anybody see in the last matchday programme Steele Retchless' choice from his period playing for the club (1998-2004).
As it was from a players viewpoint, from somebody who did the hard graft with the players concerned, it gives an interesting angle.
1. Richie Barnett
2. Martin Offiah
3. Nigel Roy
4. Mat Toshack
5. Paul Sykes
6. Karl Hammond
7. Dennis Moran
8. Grant Young
9. Jason Hetherington

Edinburgh vs the Bulls in his first game back for us for instance.
Also and this may be the brain farting, but in the Canberra game when we were 14-0 down [I think] he wasn't on but came on at that point?

Your right mate. Not only that game against the Bulls itself, but how his addition also turned round the team for the whole year. I think you're right abou the Canberra game, too.

| Can't believe you are the first to shout for Mark O'Halloran. Totally slipped my mind. Pretty good selection there Billy, I would slip in Cram for LMS though.
