| Why ? Then that just makes the Challenge Cup even more important to us, as in 'revenue/something to play for'. Strange comment. As it stands right now, I would much rather us win our league game (at home) to you, than the Cup game.

| Budgie, nothing against Leigh apart from being our rivals. Leigh will find form soon and start winning games, but if it’s not soon then top four is gone, which then makes broncos likely position higher. Once Leigh hit the straps they will as in past years very hard to beat.
I think this year league position finish might have more significance, the RFL will come up with some sort of re structure, which might end up making middle 8s pointless.
Broncos need the points on easter Monday more than a good run in the challenge cup, so let’s save the hitting form till mid Apr, happy for Leigh to go on a winning run then.

| I see, we won't make the middle 8's. Have to play you guys twice, Toronto twice, Fev & Toulouse away, amongst others. Our owner messed up BIG style, in signing 19 new players, of whom, very few look quality. Still can't find a new 'head coach' or a quality one that wants the job. Yes, we can beat you in a 'one off' game, but top 4 in the league is very unlikely. When you see us play, it's 'one man rugby' nobody hardly makes a break, forwards are too lightweight, and our backs apart from Rhys Evans have no pace. Apart from that' we're fine !

| That’s the way am thinking mate. Lose to broncos easter mon, then get a bit of form and beat other teams to help the broncos out.

| Budgie most non-leigh fans expect Leigh at some stage to hit form and go through a 10-12 game unbeaten streak. The only question is when will they hit this form and start the run. I still have the Leigh away game as the most difficult game London will face this year (on par with Tolouse away)... I'm not worried about Toronto at all, we ran rings round them at Ealing, and its the same with Fev, we would have won by 50 if we did not go to sleep last 20 mins we where that much on top.
For me the Easter Monday game is pivotable to both sides. London to prove to ourselves we have a real shot of promotion via the eights this year if we win, and Leigh to save your season. London can lose the game and still finish top 2, but we need to win to give ourselves full belief that we can beat Salford, Cats, KR etc.....
Either way good luck in 2 weeks, and I personally still think if you beat us then you will make the eights (over Fev). Which "no offence" is why I really want us to win (i'd pick winning this game over beating Tolouse on the friday), as I would much much prefer Fev in eights than Leigh, not that I have anything bad to think on Leigh, but your much more of a danger to us than Fev are, even in your current state

| Running them close is not good enough though, am of the same mind, Leigh are likely to be more of a challenge in the 8s than Fev or fax so I know who I would rather see broncos face in the 8s

| Whether we are a better team than we were then, is a matter of opinion. Leigh I am convinced are not as good.

| See Leigh are looking to offload a few players, realising they are not going to be in the running for SL so tightening the belt a bit. Some big wages mentioned though.

| Surely the parachute payment that Leigh received, was to cover players wages post relegation. Where has that gone then?

No,the parachute payment had to be spent on players, of which it has been. What did London do with their parachute payment after a decade of stability?

| Atomic, 2 months into the season and the money has been spent already? That has to lead to folk asking questions? The suggestion was that Leigh were looking to offload players to reduce the wage bill as the club were already resigned to the fact bouncing straight back to SL had gone. So if that happens and the wage bill is cut can we assume any of that money not spent will be handed back. Not forgetting this was a payment from all the other SL clubs not through central funding.

I must have been asleep for that decade, because the club hasn't been stable AFAIK the club has never been stable, either fiscally or in terms of having a base to call home......the Broncos have 100% relied on benefactors footing the bill for as long as I can recall and the period 2007-2014 was 8 years of alarming declines in performance on and off the pitch resulting in being relegated with no fan income, no sponsorship income and 1 win all year.....

Again.. The parachute payment regardless of who was relegated, had to be used to buy players. Leigh brought in19 new players and currently have a wage bill of £1.67m. If theres a reason at present to offload players its not financial. Its more to do with wearing the shirt.
Back to my original question? What did you do with your parachute payment?
