| Quote: Under the sticks "As I recall Bradford do not bring that many to the Stoop so I think even fewer will be attracted to Brisbane Road, lets hope they have some major, major marketing plans for these on the road games to pull the punters in. We have never been booted out of the Stoop before for pitch maintenance (if in fact there is any truth in the reason given), so I hope this is not going to become an annual feature of being at the Stoop, we all know the damage it does when trying to build the fan base of having a lengthy period of no home games during the summer months.'"
Sure I read somewhere that both on the road games will be on Sky too. The Stoop must be due a bit of maintainance anyway. 3 years time I think the stoop will not be our home.

I'm only aware of one poll, and I wasn't aware of that until it had finished. There was another poll sent out to email newsletter subscribers around 2004, but even though the club were clearly angling for 6pm on Saturday the majority voted for 3pm on Sunday. (The club then imposed this regardless several weeks later.)

| I thought one of the Licence criteria was a stadium with a capacity above a certain number - sure it is above 10k so why are we going to a ground with less? Cue a boooooooo from WQ

If as is very likely Orient do not get the olymic stadium share with West Ham etc. Then Mr Hearns is looking to bolster Brisbane road, Wouldn't take much doing to get 14k in that stadium.

1649_1338292262.jpg I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg |

Under the sticks what is your rational for the claim Bradford will "[ieven fewer[/i" to Brisbane Road? also why would it need to be "[imajor, major marketing plans[/i" for the on the road game there? The Stoop holds more and is not closed in, also as it seems from the link to the Leyton Orient official website they have made a big thing of it today and nearer the time they will do the same again I am certain, the marketing will need to be in East London and hopefully capture in from the great development work we are doing there now.
With regards the criteria for a stadium, look at Hull KR's ground and anyway Barry Hearn is having pipe dreams thinking he will take over the 60,000 Olympic stadium post 2012 and it would not take a lot to extend the stadium to 15,000 which would be an ideal size. We need to see the venue of the second game on the road before we get ahead of ourselves.

I would be suprised if all of our own regular supporters make it to Brisbane Road so it is not a quantum leap to suggest that a side which does not bring that many supporters down to London might also have a few fans that can`t be d.......it`s just my opinion.
Of course the `on the road games` will require significant marketing, do you honestly think that the locals and LO football fans will just turn up as if by magic. An announcement on the LO web site today does not equate to a marketing coup or in your words `making a big thing of it`. My original post was not snipping at the club but just voicing an opinion and a concern......get over it

Why you took it that way I am totally unsure, it was not how it was intended, my opinion and like you that is all it is, if we are going to have to go on the road Brisbane Road seems a good choice, nice compact stadium and an area were we are working with development, lets just wait and see I Hope it is a big success but it was not having a knock at you in any way, I was unsure how you got to your opinion! which I respect.

| I was hoping home games would be Saturday 6pm, but Saturday 3pm isn't too bad, just means I have to rush across London after playing a match in the morning.

| Bradford 4th best average for games in London, 5th best at the Stoop II........
31 minutes from Oxford Circus to Leyton.....5 minute walk to ground.
Twickenham to Leyton station 1 hour.......
Can't see the problem.....I have to catch flights to get to see games......

| You didn't have to catch flights to away games in UK but still didn't go
When flying in to Auckland do you look for roundabouts with room for bushes and train stations with spare space for cheesy posters?.........or wouldn't New Zealanders appreciate this method of wasting money
