| It doesn't matter. We're playing the Melbourne Storm. I shall now do a little dance.

Principle that you still haven't progressed as a club IMO, and such a high profile game should have gone to a club on the rise.

| Pity the Eels didnt win the big one.
Personal opinion this would have been a far bigger drawer the the Storm out at the Stoop.

Do not quite agree as know there as loads more 'rules' fans in London than NRL supporters and the majority of them come from Victoria!! So let's hope that they will add to the crowd to see the Home State team who are the NRL champions!!
The one thing which should see a better crowd next February is that London RL/RFL has more time & experience in promoting the game.
We might even make it a7/8k 'gate'.......and even more if they include a ticket booking form/slip in the Aussie/NZ match day programme.

Yeah but the Southern fans still won't turn up in the numbers that they should.

Agreed, but that's neither here nor there really. The RFL marketed last years game and got 6-7,000 to the game. IF lessons have been learnt from 2009, then I expect to see 10,000 for this game.

That may be the case, but these guys are Rules Fans. They will watch the Storm on TV occasionaly (usually the grand final only, to announce their Superiority over NSW and excercise their little brother complex).
But they wont hop on a train and head 'all the way' out to The Stoop.

I notice that Australia V New Zealand drew a bigger crowd dwon here than our national team could get in a heartland county last night. Sure England were palying France not Aus or NZ, but if the England football team can draw massive crowds to Wembley regardless of the opposition or the likely lack of entertainment, then Yorkshire should be able to provide a bigger turn out for England RL with all those RL fans "up here" than London does for an international RL match, Aus and NZ ex-pats or not.

But it doesn't.
So what do you think needs to be done about it? Maybe bring Gutterfax straight back from NZ to sort it.

Aye, what an easy sell, a cold October night, a trip to Doncaster on a Friday night, to see a team we stuffed a few months ago...
When you consider that we had Australia v NZ, on a Saturday, with an open bar, with the game promoted well to the local imports, I can see how you can compare them...
