| Not the best way to get the casual AFC fan to rock up though.

| Unless there's no box office available or its prohibitively expensive to use, I think it's daft not to have at least some cash sale option. When you have 8k or so empty seats why put any hindrances on the way of selling them?
Also the club message stated something like there will be no sales on the day. Does that mean they close online sales overnight on Saturday? Hopefully not.

| Yes, their tweet said no tickets available on the day.
When I think back to Sept 1980, as a Fulham Season Ticket holder my ticket was free but some of my mates paid on the day. There was even the free turnstile because of the Lord's Day Observance lot. Thankfully things have moved on but this even in covid times makes little or no sense.

| Looking at the tickets sold (by looking at the ticket site and seeing how many tickets are unavailable) it looks like about 800ish, plus a couple of hundred in the south stand.
So I think they will get >1K but struggle to get 1.5K, but lets see how many come in the community stands, that might push it to 1.5K

| Not buying on the day could alienate people. Its ok if you have a smart phone and can buy through the phone on the day but a lot of people dont have them. Imagine taking a lot of time and effort to get there and you cant get in would you come back especially new fans

| In the situation that the club is in it, really should be making it as easy as possible for people to attend.
Not to offer pay at the gate as an option, strikes me as ludicrous. We really cannot afford to turn anyone away.
I know we are being forced into becoming a cash free society, which I must say drives me mad. But the Broncos are heading to becoming a fan free club.
I see this as utter madness.

| I think this will be as Wimbledon don't allow pay on the day, so probably dont have facilities to sell tickets at the ground

| If there really are no tickets available on the day, in any way, I hope this has been made clear to Widnes. Imagine driving down from Cheshire and then being refused admission as you hadn't pre-purchased.

I suspect that the Cherry Red Stadium is totally cash free.

| You would expect they have a Ticket Office if only for people who don't have the facility to print at home or a smart phone.

Wimbledon do offer pay on the day to some matches, via the club shop. Looks like Broncos either weren't offered the facility or chose not to take it up, presumably on financial grounds.

| BOSG were appealing for volunteers to run the ticket office just a couple of days back. I expect the reasons are down to poor planning by commercial.

| Words fail me. We have a Commercial Wing that is probably bigger than the one we had as Quins RL yet seemingly cannot stump up for someone to do three hours at national minimum wage to run a ticket office.

| Get the supporters group to run it, they've paid their £20, at least let them feeling they are getting something from the club
Get the partnership mgr to run it. I remember Tony Rea serving me a pint at the Stoop (first time around) from the hexagon bar they had located near the entrance when he was CEO!
What about the 20 hard core Amoebas that follow Monkey around like the Pied piper. Cant they be trusted with such a simple task. Opportunity for the club to promote itself as a community club with a project helping the vulnerable.
What an absolute nonsense this is.
