I know a few posters often head out to Aldershot for games so just to flag up the Army match is a 13.30 kick off on Saturday.

Thinking of heading down to the Navy v Saddleworth game in Pompey on Sat. Does anyone know where the main entrance to the USC ground is?

Off Burnaby Road from memory. If going by train it is a short walk from either main station. If driving check parking first, it can be expensive if you end up public parking due to Gunwharf Quays. I went by train last year but seem to recall a small and quite full car park on site. The University of Portsmouth have a small cheap and seemingly always half empty car park nearby but can't remember the road name.

Wrap up warm if windy, the wind whipped in off the front last year. The Navy have a good team at the moment, fancy you may see a decent game there.

Burnaby rd is off park rd which is main entrance rd to gunwharf follow gunwharf signposts it will take you down park road, you will see ground on left back of main stand. At traffic lights turn left and entrance is on left. Parking on site will be very limited and probably not open to public. All 3 mil teams are strong and playing at home will be in with good chance. If Navy have full first team out they should go well.

A friend who know that area suggests Alec Rose Lane car park as a back up plan. I'd avoid parking at Gunwharf Quays, not cheap from memory. There is some metered street parking locally but it always seems to full when I in the area.

Don't park in gunwharf it's better to park in town centre and walk down.

Ok cheers - am going down by train so parking not a problem, sounds like Burnaby Road is the main entrance so will head that way. Definitely a wrap up warm day on the cards, although there are some decent pubs in the town centre which should help ward off the chill

If real ale is your thing I've heard good things about the Brewhouse and Kitchen brew pub nearby.

As an aside at work today we were warned not to travel to our Northern office - Chesterfield - unless vital due to snow. Might be worth keeping an eye on what is going on and that the opposition can travel ok. Would expect them to travel tomorrow so should be able to find any problems out before you set out.

Army 8 Wath Brow 20.

Wath Brow always had a little too much for an indisciplined Army team. After nullifying a good Army open field kicking game, Wath Brow moved decisively ahead just after the hour mark.

Better luck in the next round to the Wath Brow lad who has travelled all the way down only to go off injured after eight minutes.

Navy 32 - Saddleworth Rangers 14

An excellent game which the Navy always looked in control of, apart from one period of pressure from Rangers in the first half. The Navy ran away with it a bit second half. Here's hoping for another home draw in the 2nd round
