Is running in and pushing somebody worth being cited?

If somebody would have purposely gone into a player with the intent of hurting them with their knees then it WOULD have been picked up and cited by the RFL and not just a handful of bitter, clueless Harlequins supporters.

I have and there's no intent to harm Howell with his elbow/knees at all, it was just a grapple and handbags on the floor.

If it was deemed that Tomkins did go to strike Howell with the knee/elbow then it would and should have been cited.

What touching faith you have in the RFL disciplinary panel!

I have more faith in them than a handful of Harlequins supporters on an internet forum who seem to be the only people who think it's a valid point.

Tomkins is a petulant little w@nker in the mould of a certain Mr Briers and will get found out in future. He even decided to mouth off to Ganson and got binned for it........how arrogant do you need to be to try and take on the biggest egoed ref in SL?
He was hit with a dangerous and nasty shot, but he reacted in a way that was just as dangerous....and IMO it warranted a reversal of the penalty. Howell had to go though........and AGAIN..........every one of the handful agree on that. Deflect all you like, but the video evidence CLEARLY SHOWS foul play against Howell.

Well as Tomkins was cited for dissent (ridiculous), then yes I would expect him to be also cited for what you call "handbags". Note I'm talking about the citation only here, not what may or may not be the disciplinary outcome.

Makes a mockery of the disciplinary procedure.

I think there was minimal intent on Howell's part, but that doesnt mean I believe the incident should not be cited!

Heh heh typical paranoid pie don't take it personally, nothing at all to do with this being "wigan", more to do with the RFL's response to a certain "running in" incident that occurred during a catalan-quins match that resulted in five of our players being banned.

The RFL is consistent in its inconsistency if nothing else.

Read the VT thread mate, it wasn't only us that saw it.
