neither will I, [sizePLEASE TELL ME WHEN WHEN IT HAPPENS.[/size
Sorry, but the only benefit from this double header will be to inflate the clubs average attendances for the season. It didn't work on any other level in 2006 (if it had, they would have repeated it in 2007).
As for saints fans........there loss is offset with the free tickets for Huddersfield fans and the £5 seats for HKR fans this Monday.....genius, pure genius
I look forward to reading with inerest the offer for a £5 ticket for Castleford fans announced on facebook on May 15th

| So we pay £25 and Hull KR pay £5 and Quins pay £7 to watch the Crusaders match.
Sounds to me as if Saints aren't welcome at the Stoop or are we subsidising the £5 game? I feel we really are being ripped off big-time!!

Welcome to The Stoop - The Field of Dreams.......Where Broncos supporters dreams are realised and away supporters dreams are shattered !!!!!
2012 - The Year of The Broncos: |
|
| Quote: peza100 "I am in shock having read this whole chain, can undertand Saints fans being a little bit annoyed by paying an extra tenner but I am a Bronze Season Ticket Holder and I have no problem with an allocated seat. I am really looking forward to the day, not a huge Union fan but going to watch with a few pints of IPA and enjoy the atmosphere of a full stadium.
We cannot afford to be so belligerent about this situation, I am just happy I still have a team to watch and am thus realistic. The club has to bring in every penny it can and this double header makes economic sense.
Yes I know it is easy for me to say this as I am not paying any more for this game, but our club cannot continue to function forever on current attendances so I will not be complaining when they try new innovations and explore new revenue streams.
On a side note, does anyone know if Leeds are expected to bring many fans down? I see they are teetering on the verge of relagation. Saints, Leeds, Quins Union and League fans. Going to be fun trying to get to the bar!!'"
So you think it is right to in effect penalise both the Saints fans whose coaches are scheduled to arrive in time for the Quins RL fixture and the Quins RL supporters who only wish to watch the RL fixture anyway. A one off fixture is not going to solve our revenue problems it is only going to falsely inflate our attendance figure in order to appease the RFL come licence renewal time. Enjoy the atmosphere of a full stadium, it'll be business as usual for the rest of the season...........

Every cloud and all that
Seriously, this has been handled badly by the club (IMO that is) and I sympathise with the Saints fans who feel aggrieved

Believe me when I say this.....a lot of Quins fans sympathise with you.......I for one will not be there because of the rip off price, and the money I was going to find for my Summer season ticket will now be spent elsewhere.

On the other hand you could either say oh well I got a free ticket with the best seats in the house so that counter balances the extra for Saints, or that Windy has sent you the £5 offer for monday or think OK £25 for 2 games in the top league of their respective sport isn't a bad deal.

No Hull KR won't be paying £5 - the offer was sent by email to Quins fans I suppose to "bring a mate" cheaply. I personally don't have any mates in Hull .

FYI I already have a full price ticket for Monday, it was purchased online 2 weeks ago I was curious as to why the £5 offer was "selective" and yes Windy has emailed me a £5 voucher which has been printed out and passed on to friends who want to attend had I have received the email (I am on the mailing list btw) I would have printed them off anyway to help get bums on seats, get off your friggin high horse, you obviously have no clue as to my own personal situation. Yes I won the best seats in the house a few weeks ago, I also booked an advanced rail ticket for Wales before the date switch which I have lost money on. Yes also I also resent having to pay nearly double to watch a single game of rugby league.....My working day is geared towards the Quins RL kick off so I cannot get there until 5.15 earliest......clean the mist off your rose tinted spectacles and don't comment unless you have either read things properly or got your bloody facts right

Personally I'm not bothered about being given an allocated seat for one match, and in practice there are going to be loads of empty seats by the time our game kicks off so it shouldn't be difficult to move to somewhere else if you don't like the seat you've been given.
My problem is the apparent need to exchange my ST voucher for a ticket before match day - will I be refused entry if I simply present my ST voucher on the gate on the day? The email isn't really explicit about this. I didn't see the email sent to me at first as it went into the Spam folder in my mailbox, which I empty about once a month after scanning it for messages I might actually want to read, so I never had a chance to swap the voucher for a ticket at the last match I went to. Of course I could telephone the club or email them and ask, but as the game clashes with a football match I'd like to see I'll simply give Quins a miss and go to football instead. My decision won't cost the club any money as I've got a season ticket, I'm just rapidly losing interest and becoming increasingly apathetic about Quins.

| The double header is a great marketing idea for Quins RL. Sorry about the Saints fans. I am really lookiing forward to it. Maybe some of union fans might stay on and maybe they might come to some other games: it is worth a try. I would imagine that the ticket price would be driven by the RU club. The RU club could just about fill the ground with a minimum adult ticket price of about £20, you can't sell two tickets for the same seat, so what other option is there? In union and league, we have two great games. It is not a competition between these games - they are just different.

| Big thread this, so I may be repeating a point already made, but it's now clear, even to me, that a ST voucher is NOT valid for admission to the Saints game.
From a "Free Pint At The Stoop This Monday" email received from the club todayBronze Season Ticket Holders Should contact the Ticket
Office and exchange your season ticket Voucher 6 for an allocated seat
within the stadium. You will require a match day ticket, your Season
Ticket will not grant you access to the ground.
'"
and
Quote: Free Pint At The Stoop This Monday "Season Ticket Vouchers can be exchanged on the day of the game but it
is likely that the Ticket Office will be busy, so we would strongly
recommend you contact us before the game or exchange/claim your
additional ticket at Mondays Hull KR game.'"

| Cheers Bronc for making things clear and sifting through the cryptic information sent out by the club!
Well, it seems us bronze people are in the same situation. Since I want to go to the game, I think I'm gonna pop down in office hours (thank god I'm a teacher, and have the wonderful Easter break!) and exchange my voucher (and thus make an unessecary and costly journey )
The club seem to be threatning bronze ST holders with non-admitance or a heavy price tag (£28, more than half the amount the wife paid for the ST in the first place). I'm sure on the day I probably would be able to sneak in on the voucher, but don't really want to take the risk.

That great they tried it in 2006....and of the 12,600 reported gate, 2,500 actually saw the league match v Huddersfield.
Face facts, this will do nothing apart from inflate our seasons average and like all of the recent knee jerk offers on facebook, hasn't been thought out, managed and handled well at all.
