I thought they were alright, there were quite a few in the quins side keeping quiet who all stayed for the whole 80 minutes. In the bar before the game they were all friendly (maybe partly cos Liverpool were beating Man Utd!)

Obviously one of those cheering on Liverpool v Manchester United in the bar beforehand, so at least one of his teams won!

| Matt King has been (at the best) very average and nothing like the hyped-up player before we signed him; but this is very typical of Warrington, we sign a world class player (allegedly) and make then very ordinary
Briers simply isn't the Briers of old anymore : it was well known he had a very good working relationship with Paul Cullen and that his relationship with Monaghan isn't so clever
to be honest, whilst I didn't go the Quinns game you have to understand that Warrington have zero confidence (for whatever reasons) at present and until this returns we will just remain in a spiral

King was in fine form seasons 05-07, but then again he was playing with some great teams in this time. Dont know what has happened to him since arriving in the UK but he looks to be low on confindence and very frustrated.
I'd be ropable if I were a wire fan, they have some quality players but their defensive line is like that of Western Suburbs 1999.

One thing that happened to him was Richie Mathers.

| The shirt was picked up by a lad sat in front of me, he was not a wire fan, he was one of ours, think he was hoping to put it on ebay!! a couple of young kids nearly picked it up
As for Matt King, he got the hassle due to fact he was closest to the fans on the wing, so a bit unfortunate for him, he was out of order giving the finger and get a feeling that if it gets back to the RFL he will be in bother, he was getting some nasty nasty comments tho
Did think the Briers chant "Briers for Widnes" was hilarious! the Wire fans sat behind me could not even stop themselves giggling at that and they agreed
I know its been said several times and on several threads, but having tried it, using the single stand is not good, ok stand looks pretty full but what does that acchieve
3 lads who I sat close to in first half, who are new to the game!!!! started coming last year and sat in the "lexus" They were not happy with the east stand, they are walk up fans so buy tickets on the day, got told they could not be given tickets sitting together, and dislike the fact we are facing the sun and so far from the pitch
LETS bring back use of the lexus for home fans!!!!

Let's get an average of 5,000 at every game and then re-open discussions about the lexus.
The club can't afford to
a/ p155 off sky and the bbc
b/ employ the stewards and staff to man the pumps
Yes, the east isn't ideal, but if everyone was lumped into the Lexus bar we'd all die of thirst.

But is there not a danger we are restricting growth by having so little choice of seating? Pushing people to the edges, sitting separately from family/mates? It doesnt seem right to me. We should have away fans behind the goal and home fans in the East.

There is no chance of me bringing anybody new along this year because of this exact problem. There are no seats at all around my seat, even though i'm in the poverty area.

I understand the reason for the closure of the LV stand, and the costs that can be saved.
Personally I think that the away fans should be placed behind the sticks at one end. I've been to the Manly game and the Wigan game (missed the weekend due to other commitments). We were a walk up at the wigan game, quite early I must add, as there were four of us we could only get tickets two rows back. All three guests were first timers (one an AFL fan), and it didnt add to the experience at all. Poor view, the walkway in front of the field.
At the moment we are severly limiting our chances of bringing extra fans, and I can see the crowds sitting around the 3500 mark all season due to this.
Any thoughts? Perhaps putting away fans behind the sticks, and or having a cheap ticket days against clubs such as Cats or Crusaders for a fiver? Works well at FFC for the low drawing away teams to fill the neutral end.

I thought the whole point of the arrangements this season was to just open up the minimum number of stands neccessary. However, the North Stand seems to be open just for a handful of folks so why not just plan to put all the away fans in there.
