If a comment on the quality of the player market then yes. But strangely people sign for clubs and organisations despite previous history. Just look at the number of players still keen to sign for the vast majority of failed premier league clubs. Never mind the clubs elsewhere in the RL that have been through the mire.

£10,000 a week to play soccer at anfield and old Trafford with a chance of being picked up by another prem club in 2015 or trips to caravan park and bolted on championship rugby league in 2015 for £1,000 a week.......not forgetting moving 200 miles away from mums cooking hardly a comparison that stands on inspection.

Not sure you got the point. Portsmouth, Coventry, both Sheffields, Leeds. All have had management and Brighton is a great example of a club that had years of rather crap management but people still sign for them.
One of only 14 fully pro clubs we can still draw players if they ain't mummies boys. Two sides to the equation can and can't, depends which side you want to sit on.

I didn't bring tail end premier clubs to the table. All I did was point out the glaring difference between the bottom of the premiership with the "journey men" types who seem to get contracts at these clubs AND the London Broncos who currently have half a team in training with a handful of weeks until the season starts. I'd also point out that whilst fitness and tactics are important in soccer, fitness and tactics are EVERYTHING in top flight Rugby League. London Broncos will start the season well undercooked in both areas and will do well to be competitive with the other bottom tier clubs whilst getting absolutely hammered by the top tier. I'll cheer them on either way...it's a form of insanity!

We could not get decent players when we were stable and I cannot see many moving from the North given the current climate of LB management and our recent past.

I would rather hope that all players are already in training, regardless as to which Club they are at, so fitness at the start of the Season should not be an issue. Given previous discussions about how poor our training was players coming from other clubs could be a blessing as they will have come from a stricter culture than ours which should be beneficial. Those players without clubs are unlikley to be just lounging around.

In reality this far into pre-season neither can I but it doesn't mean it couldn't be achieved. We have had decent northern players in the past when we were actually stable - Orr, Wells, Purdham, Melling. And even when we weren't (or thought we were) - Tommy Lee.

To his credit Comical Ali always made himself available for scrutiny.
I bet he even arranged regular Iraqi POW forums.
