| I ask a question of people back home, you come on from New Zealand and point how it hasn't worked in the past. You point out that volunteers from the past won't help. Your negativity is astounding. No-one is overly happy. But only one person comes on here and continually points out how shıt everything is, continually from all aspects of the club. It's relentless.
You even mock fans' suggestions about Olympics after they realise it was a no-go. Or someone mentioning PR. But you still mock with your sarcasm. Also as you can see I never mentioned the Olympics, nor have I suggested THE answer. That was put out there for the fans and the supporters to chose. I believe door drops and leaflets is actually one of your own suggestions. Is it that bad now?
If people back home volunteered and anything they tried worked, would that make you happy? I reckon it would as it would me.
And you finish your repost with another sarcastic comment about "good luck" getting the volunteers reformed.

| Okay forget the Olympics idea,no point in trying to help the club.As a side note, I took a work colleague to the last home game,she loved it and asked when the next home game was.I told her she could go but I probably wouldn't.
The club is going downhil fast.The ground is like a morgue on match days.Iagree we need a winning team to help build things up again.
I am a gardener by trade so if anyone wants any flowers and bulbs and needs them planted by the roadside let me know.Probably a better idea than leafletting thousands of people anyway.

We used to have an individual try sponsorship which was quite popular (so they chose to stop doing it).
PS. Would think you could probably sponsor a few of our players for about £15 now!
Individual player prices have always been pretty steep for supporters, hence why this forum always used to get together and sponsor players as a group, think we did that for around 6 seasons, but also in the SAG days they got a bit more switched on to things like try sponsors and other lower cost level sponsorships which helped.

Between the pair of you, you have suggested not one thing that is either new or inventive, but instead, have spent 1 page of a 3 page thread having a pop at me for pointing out where previous attempts at this have gone wrong.
Others have said the club aren't interested, but Gutterfax is an easy target.

What we do know for a fact is that every other marketing ploy implemented by the club HASN'T worked, but even my arrogance has it's limits, so all I will say is that "we'll never know"

It is so easy to feel there is only "me" helping the club, and having that attitude, we can all be guilty at times, but there must be many of us! who have and do everything we possibly can to assist the club. I sponsored 6 players shirts and various match balls, and also supported the academy side with sponsorship, in the early days there was a great response to any contact and several ideas were taken up and several contacts connected with the club, but that seemed to disappear around 4 years back, why I don't know?
