I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg

Quote: Dan Stains woz God "It would be interesting to know how many of the current fan-base would (genuinely) follow the team to another location.

Might be good to have a poll along lines of "Would you watch London Broncos in another part of London" and "Would you watch London Broncos in Kent or another part of SE England"?

Personally, I am mad enough to watch LB pretty much anywhere in London, but I'm not sure that I would travel to Gillingham every other week.

Actually, probably not a good idea to have such a poll at the moment, as with the amount of negativity around, most people would probably say they wouldn't cross the road to watch them
I have travelled to every ground from Fulham onwards, 250 miles each way! so perhaps I will have to be
classed mad!

Only problem with a poll in what arena do you hold it? there seems to be lots more supporters on the clubs facebook page, compared to the days of "London Calling" the number of us are in fact the minority, which says something!

From a purely selfish point of view I'd welcome a move East - have spent too much time and money travelling round the M25 for precious little return since we left the Valley! Would rather we stayed in London than went to Gillingham but that said Gillingham will be a much shorter journey than the Stoop

Currently get to 3 or 4 home games a year due to the 4 hour round trip but IF we relocated to either of the OTR grounds i'd buy a couple of season tickets as there both within an hour of me. Can understand folks worrying about it who live the other side of town, i would too in their shoes to be fair, but thought i read somewhere the other day that if the games are a success then the club may play a couple of OTR games every year not relocate totaly.
On a different topic, anyone know what the parkings like around the ground, car park at ground or back street, ta.

Orient is street parking. In the past I've parked to the north of the ground - looking at google maps it was either Wilmot Road or Primrose Road. I'm sure there's probably somewhere suitable closer though.
There's advice on parking for Gillingham here:

Useful stuff about Gillingham, it's been about 20 odd years since I've been to Priestfield, looks like it's been tidied up a fair bit! Am I right in thinking London ST holders will be in the Medway Stand?

What you don't seem to take on board is that being at The Stoop is the least of our problems. There is also no evidence to suggest any other location would attract more fans.
While the club might have a desire for a share of our own ground that is not something that is going to happen within the timeframe of this licence period nor even the next without massive new investment. The club's focus right now should be very firmly on justifying our licence by having a competitive team and growing the crowds. I believe we are in serious danger of not being in a position to apply for the next licence period.

Agree with the licence being the priority, when does the current agreement with our landlord run out, that may be when we be forced to move, but I have never said it will happen overnight!

With the money spent on the squad for this season we expected more, we all tend to agree why this has not happened, but no way even if we gave away free tickets to everyone in Twickenham area will attendances increase unless we improve on the pitch!

The Stoop is a Rugby Stadium that has seated stands on all 4 sides.
The Capavity is about 200 short of 15,000
90% of the seats are under the cover of a roof.
There are 2 Bars on RL match days
There are food vans situated on site on match days
There is a dining area that is sometimes used for promotional activity (curry night)
All seats offer uninterupted views of the pitch
There are 2 club shops, one of which I believe is open on match day for League.
Twickenham Station is served by 20 trains off-peak and 32 peak, per hour.
It is a 15 minute stroll crom the Cabbage Patch to the stadium
Buses to Twickenham are hardly scarce..
rlhttps://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/gettingaround/maps/buses/pdf/twickenham-2271.pdfrl
There are nice, well furnished and professional looking offices from where to conduct business at the stoop
39 corporate boxes at the stoop
Immediate population of 200,000 spread over 22sq Miles. Extended population of 4,500,000 within 30 minutes public transport travel time....9,000,000 within 1 hr.
Richmond upon Thames Chamber of Commerce meet regularly at The Stoop....Harlequins Union are MEMBERS! eusa_wall.gif
There are miltiple toilet facilities at the ground......I believe Brentford had 1 gents, with 1 stall and the ladies...god only knows.
The rent (according to posts on here which I believe) is under 4k a weeek, for office space and use of the pitch....not bad given the above list.

There you go.....all the positives that I could think of in 5 minutes....please supply a list of all the negatives you can find and by the way, being owned by a Union Club isn't one of them unless you are a 97yrs old pigeon fancier. icon_biggrin.gif

The Stoop is very "clinical".....I suspect that if the Union lot do well and average 12,591 for their games at the HOME, (not elsewhere), they may look to close off 2 corners at one end and add 4k to the capacity...their last 3 games at "HOME" have all been sold out.
I suspect that when the built the North Stand they would have made preperations for further expansion.....well run businesses do that sort of thing!

Here we go and the few sheep soon follow! you must be the smallest majority of opinion of the
small following of supporters that we have, no wonder we have nothing like the same numbers of facebook! and twitter in fact.

Gutterfax you can list all the positives you perceive about the stoop, which sound impressive, but how many of them generate income directly for London Broncos? You keep Pleading for more time to be allowed at the stoop, how many years have we been back here now? do you want us to sit tight until we lose the licence and show nothing is really happening! then some will even blame DH for doing nothing and please don't come back
with marketing as it is completely pointless until we get the product on the pitch right, anything done now is plainly P down the drain!
