On a serious note, I would hope Will Sharp, Karl Temata, Lamont Bryan and Luke Dorn get new deals and I think Jamie O'Callaghan has shown enough in recent weeks to deserve one as well.

1649_1338292262.jpg I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg |
|
| Quote: Under the sticks "So what have I said that is so wrong?......I am a long term supporter who just happens to have an opinion and wants to see the club improve from our present dire position, but in the space of 2 postings I have become a `boo boy` and have a `closed mind`.
Yes it is great he is a London lad and home grown but at this present time in his career his defence and positional play abilities need significant improvement '"
Can you please find any reference to were I made a comment about yourself? it was just a general comment, I did when initially writing name one poster, but I then I decided before sending that it should be general to avoid any personal upset.
Players like Chubb have made such major steps forward when you take it into consideration he took up the game of rugby league, youngsters in the north like myself took a rugby ball to bed instead of a teddy bear and then played both at school as well as with amateur clubs. I do not deny that there are parts of Tony's game that need to be worked on but that is not a reason not to offer him a new contract.
If we did not sign every player that has not played well this season how many players would we be left with?
I just hope the situation is resolved quickly with the Bradford coaching role then we can make a choice, even St Helens seem to be struggling to find a top coach.
With regards the next round of licences currently we are not getting it right off the pitch as far as attracting better attendances and that comes from our current position with playing form in some ways, we face a real tough time ahead.

| clubb tinted spectacles on sale £5 each pair
Fan Clubb membership availaible, hey did you like that Clubb not Club!!
Listy stop being an ar*E
The team needs players who are commited to the club and want to be here,
So he is not having the best of seasons! name any player in the squad who is having a good season and without faults!
eg
Dorn! scored a few points and has the flair but defence is rubbish
Chad! has had a flat season and has been slagged off on here, but good god we have missed him when he is not on the pitch
LMS we all raved about him last year and his enthusiasm was tops, this year, very little impact
do I need to go on?
I applaud the fact Clubby has signed and has faith in the club, maybe its about time some of us did the same

Nail on head.
Clubb's far from perfect but he does lots of things right. 4 years does seem a bit much though.

| It will be interesting to see if his earlier promise can be realised under a different coach.

Ooooh yes lets sign anybody up who has visited a UK postcode. Same old argument but I'd rather be signing decent Australians than deadwood such as Clubb. I'm sure he will draw the new supporters in with his woeful tackling and abysmal positioning. I'd much rather have him in our team than a solid, experienced, dependable Australian. No, really.

I'd also like to play for the team, can they give me a 4 year contract too?
Congratulations, you have named 2 of the worst players in our squad. Now, lets focus on those who DO NOT MAKE MISTAKES. I do not care if Howell isn't setting the league on fire, but the fact is he doesn't make the mistakes that Clubb does. Clubb makes mistakes EVERY game, and they are costly. You say name a player who is having a good season, I challenge you to name me a player who has performed worse than Clubb.

Feel free to name them.
Oh yes, its OK to slag me off, but when Under the sticks decides to pipe up with an identical opinion to me, he is beyond criticism (no disrespect whatsoever to Under the sticks).

Don't bother Listy.....apparently I should be prepared to take on IL's shares (and his share of the debt) or stop moaning about the farce that is the back office at TW2.......so don't be suprised when the apologists try to defend another middle of the road and un-inspiring signing. 4 years.......4 years? WTF is going on at the club?

Well, we can't sign all the Aussies we might like anymore, unlike Crusaders and Catalans.
And, of course, he's not as bad as you say. I know he misses tackles, but he does put some very effective hits in. Did one against Wigan where they had possession and lots of space on the edge of our 20m line (may have been chav Tomkins in possession). Our defence was all hanging back just to give him a nice clear run when out came Clubb at pace and flattened him. May have been tactically naive, but he did the job that nobody else looked like doing.

I remember that exact hit, it was good one, but the number of times that he tries this particular tactic and fails, far outweights the number of successes. If our whole defence opted to fly out, then it would be great. As a defensive line, you always move at the speed of your slowest defender. Clubb ignores this idea and plays on his own, which is all wrong and leaves us exposed on frequent occasions.

| I suppose the positive in all this is that someone thinks the club will still be around in 4 years
Surely the most positive aspect of this announcement

| Luke Williamson was offered a contract, but is sticking to his plan to retire at the end of the year (from the horses mouth, Jesters Club on Sunday).
