To show there's no news like bad news, David Howell's “Grade D” charge made the Metro this morning.

So no doubt we can expect a preview of the Huddersfield game in the Friday edition.

Harlequins RL centre David Howell has been banned for three matches and fined £300 for his illegal high tackle on Wigan Warriors stand-off Sam Tomkins in last Friday’s engage Super League match at the JJB Stadium.

Howell, who was sent off following the 27th-minute challenge with his forearm, pleaded guilty when the case was heard by the RFL disciplinary committee via telephone today.

The player’s claim that the challenge was unintentional was dismissed by the disciplinary committee who took into account the fact that no serious injury was caused and Howell’s previous good record in handing down a three-match ban, the minimum punishment for a player found guilty of a Grade D offence (3 to 5 matches).

I just can't work out why a "few" supporters from other clubs feel the need to Troll around other clubs forums trying to Stir! and usually Glorify in their win over us or find some fault in us as a club.

I would love to know what definition of minimal is? IMO if he has allowed other incidents before hand to make him respond in this way, then the three match ban is wholly justified.

Remember the Newton - Long incident, he got 8 matches for a similar misdemeanor.
