I have just booked three guest tickets for Saturdays game at £5.00 each plus £3.00 booking fee making a total of £18.00, so I'd call that a bargian for my mates to get in and see The Lions game, and two rugby league games for £6.00, I might charge them a tenner each keep me in beer money for the day

The girl in the ticket office was very helpful and should have the tickets in the post tomorrow and she is e-mailing me confirmation so that if the good old post office fail to deliver then I can just bring along a copy of the e-mail on the day.

No letters for me either....

In fairness its £3 booking and £3 card fee per booking rather than per ticket so if you bring 3 mates its £6 rather than £18 in fees

Frankly its no good them telling you it does not apply when their website says it does. I would check what it says now but the site is unobtainable

The ticket website does say £3 web sale fee plus £3 Credit card fee.

But when you complete the sale it only takes £3. (unless of course they've changed it recently - we used it for the Wakey game)

Would be helpful if they could update it and make sure it works consistently. When it does work it is excellent and I don't mind paying the £3.

Sorry, but in this day and age, a Credit card or Booking fee is just another revenue stream. If I walk into my local and buy a round of beers on my CC, I do not incurr any charge. If I buy clothes on my CC, no charge.
Sorry, but if a ticket is £15, then it should only be £15. As it is, I have twice paid by CC at the gate and been hammered with the £3 charge, which I think is criminal.

I agree its a bit snide if they are charging you on the gate too, but I don't see a problem with paying a fee to use the online ticketing service, which as i've said before, is an added luxury for the fans convienience that the club are not obliged to supply, and costs them money to do so.

Yes, if you are a football club filling a 60k stadium 20 times + a year, then yeah, supply and demand dictate that you can get away with a charge, but when you are failing to sell any more than 25% of your capacity, it would seem a bit churlish to charge a 20% booking fee for a £15 ticket.
By all means, when we are getting the same gates as our brothers charge for picking your seat, but only when the stewards make you sit in the right seat.
It is a rip off that probably doesn't even generate money for our club, but instead goes towards paying what the Union lot paid for it.

So you argue that a football club making a fortune on tickets should charge people to use its ticketing system, and the team struggling to make any money runs the system without trying to cover the amount it costs to implement and maintain? Are you mad? The ticket system is invaluble for those who want a decent seat.
