Looking at Google maps I’ll be getting homesick by the time I get to the ground! typical journey time 1hr 20 to 2hrs 10......yikes. That estimate doesn’t give me much comfort.

Google maps says that option marginally slower but who knows.

| By car or public transport from
Ealing trailfinders 47 minutes or 1h33m
Barnet FC 1h5m or 1h39m
Griffin Park 33m or 54m
The stoop 23 or 45 mins
Charlton athletic 1h17m or 1h36m
Seems the best lapsed fans to attract would be the ones 20 minutes away....seems any locals picked up in Barnet or Ealing aren't of interest....maybe if the club ran a coach for a tenner from trailfinders they might get back some kudos?
Reality is the club have gone all in here........personally, it would be 90 minutes each way if I lived in the UK.....I'd be picking and choosing games and if that is what a lot of existing fans are doing, then they need locals and lots of them......and as I've pointed out, there is already a top flight egg chasing side 20 minutes away and newbies won't differentiate......

Parking is extremely limited so that cuts out cars. You also have to take account of sunday reduced rail services, and waiting time for trains. For us switching from car to Ealing, to train => tube => bus to PL, it went from door to door 20 mins to almost 2 hours. You then work out a £5 parking fee (one car) say £5 in petrol vs about £60 on public transport (3 people), and you can see the impact to us.
I do apologise if the Parking has been sorted, as I don't subscribe to LB anymore, and did not buy a ST this year, I'm not on the communication loop with the club (not blocked by them I hasten to add, I just did not subscribe to them any more)

From Luton by car 1hr 15min - 1hr 50mins. That;s a big chunk of the M25, so from personal experience you can add another 30 mins at least to that.
By bus/train 2hrs 2mins -2hrs 14mins.
Here's one lapsed fan who won't be returning.

| It may be worse than that. For years my nearest team was Hemel, 44 mins a good run. I chose to watch Oxford, 90 mins to Iffley Road, as I regularly got snarled between joining the M25 clockwise at the M3 through to the M1. Every third run took me up to three hours. Anti clockwise usually looked even worse between Heathrow and the M3 / A3.

Can you get a Thameslink train from Luton to Haydons Road?
Might need to change at Blackfriars but it could be another option for you.
Would take about 1hr 20mins even with a wait to change trains at Blackfriars.

| Declan O'Donnell confirmed as being released at his own request after "struggling to settle in the capital."

| So Mustard confirms O'Donnell released because he couldn't settle. Didn't give it much of a go though did he?
Sorry Half didn't see your post.
Just another reason for signing Southern Hemisphere players who know how to travel & not need to be a few hours from their mother's apron strings.

| I made the journey last night by train. Two changes and an hour and a half going. Two hours coming back.
Haydons Rd station is just ten to fifteen minutes easy walk to the ground. The entrance to the stadium is a bit tucked away though.
I have to say that I was impressed with the facilities and we were made to feel welcome.
Sadly it was the same old faces that attended. Twenty five or so in number.

Yea the facilites are far superior to ealing, but your paying for those facilities at the expense of having the weakest squad ever/ going part time/ and having 80% of the ground empty even when playing the team with the most travelling fans (Bradford \ Leigh \ Fev)

Unfortunately, it appears you can't on a Saturday or Sunday!
