Dixon is becoming a bit of a concern already, he has arguably the best centre in the comp next to him, I know we all talk about confidence etc maybe he came in over confident and thinks he can do too much. Think he needs to get back to the basics of catching the ball and keeping hold of it before he thinks about the leagues top try scorer stat that was bandied about.
Mark loane I am liking more and more as each game goes on, since middle 8s last season he has started to ,are a real impression. The others hmmm they need to sort out the penalties.

Dixon, agree about basics - he ptentially is a great player going forwward, but we cannot afford a liability on the wing, not sure how far Grant is off fitness or give the young lad a run, if dixon remains shaky

I expect that the pitch at Dewsbury will be a bit of a bog this coming weekend. The pitch looked awful when they played Swinton two weeks ago.

Dewsbury are likely to bring in several DR players from Wakefield for our game on Sunday. This is due to them suffering an injury crisis with around thirteen players only fit to play.

They did that for the first game and took a hiding

Maybe they could just put out the Hemel squad

Going up to Dewsbury on Sunday, it will be my first away game for a few years so lets hope for a good result and the train being ontime....

If you haven't been to Dewsbury by train before either get a taxi or allow longer to walk than you expect to need. Nice and hilly. Cracking station refreshment rooms if you are waiting for a train.

Hope we can be ruthless for this one and put our points difference well into the positive (-1 at the moment).

Will be cycling from Mirfield station (direct train from Kings, Grand Central trains), its about 8 miles. Afterwards I'm taking 2 days to cycle along the Leeds/Liverpool canal to Wigan and train back to London. Been to Wigan loads of times but never had a look at the town (same with Leeds). Lets hope for no snow.

I am concerned about the state of the pitch on Sunday. I hope we can slog it out. We performed badly last year in the pre season friendly, when it was just a sea of mud.
But we do need to put some points on the board. Lets get our points difference into positive territory.

Hopefully the players will have learnt from last week's game at Oldham and will play accordingly at Dewsbury.
If conditions are bad then they will act as a leveller, would be nice to rack up a big score but the main thing is to get the two points.

Forecast is for no rain on Sunday which is good.

No excuses for not getting a comfortable win.
