Mac had less to do with Leeds winning than he (and you apparently) thinks. Powell is responsible for speeding up the decline the club experienced under Mac.
Mac (working from July 8th 2006)
117 games, 44 wins (38%), 3 draws (2%) 70 losses (60%)
2,377 for
3,127 against
6.4 points down per game
If you take the 9 games from 2006 and the entire 2007 season out, and then work with his squad playing his way
81 games, 29 wins (36%), 0 Draws and 52 losses (64%)
1,654 for
2,299 against
7.9 points down per game
Powell
43 games, 8 wins (19%), 1 draw (2%) and 34 losses (79%)
840 points for
1,470 against
14.7 points down per game
Take 2011 out and give him HIS squad....at 100% of the cap........
14% win, 86% loss losing by 12.7 points a game.
Mac was bad, the current idiot is far far far worse.
If those who were screaming sac mac had known what Hughes would have done, then the screams may have been murmurs, but it doesnt change the fact that Mac was and still is a crap Rugby League coach.
Apparently towel enjoys the confidence of the Chairman and the CEO.......I would love to know on what basis this confidence is awarded

Some friends I know Leeds fans, emailed overnight about Mac's press conference after the game, just replied welcome to the club, we put up with the same week in week out, always everyone else at fault except him, is that slight agreement with Gutterfax coming on, both Mac and Powell will never be anything else but an assistant coach, like many in this world, yes aim high but accept your true capabilities and be Happy.

I don't remember BM blaming anyone for anything? I always enjoy his post match comments...he just doesn't trust the media (nor does Tony Smith, judging by how he is with them these days).
I don't get this anger towards BM...he tried his best with limited resources. Wayne Bennett couldn't have done better with what he had at his disposal, imo.

His team is in 13th spot. Is owned by a billionaire with money to burn and they are currently losing to Canberra as I type. |

Brain fa®t I guess.
Bennet's best conditioner was of course an Englishman. He won so much with him, but when he came to London, we didn't win a trophy. Just goes to show it's not just about fitness. |

I'm not going to say anything bad against McDermott, he is another teams coach now and tried his best here, but you can't honestly think your comment is a benchmark to go by |
