Forgot to add, I'll still be there on Saturday but will use the extra time I've got because of the later kick off to anaethatise myself with beer in anticipation of the result.

Quote: wire quin "When? Im struggling to remember a London team playing as poorly.'"

Results would suggest we were as poor last year....Hull/Quins - 38-6, Wigan/Quins 54-6 Wire/Quins 82-6. Looking at the correspponding fixtures last year would see us with 1 point from the home draw against Cas.

There's loads of examples where we have been totally shambolic since we moved back to the Stoop, but the difference now is our expectations have been raised due to the money spent (allegedly) on this team.

If every supporter of any sport stayed away when things were bad! we would hardly have any sport left in the country. Yes we moan and we have a right to when we pay to see sport but staying away is pointless, anyway if you feel like that why bother full stop! supporting the club.

That’s not true- every club has a level

Why do you think the crowds in the lower divisions of football are smaller

I suspect Reading will have a bigger crowd next year in the Premiership than this year

All I ask is to be entertained. That doesn’t necessarily mean win.

Wire- I know how you felt after watching the shambles that was the Salford game, but I'd just like to give you a bit of hope in that the Widnes game was not as bad as that. Last year, if we had gone down by 12 points in first 5 minutes, heads would have dropped and we would have lost 48-0 or similar. At least they didn't give up.

We need to take the positives out of the three home games and build on that.

Bronco Billy - hope to see you at the game (or probably early doors in the Spoons. I guess you'll be there about 11 !).

Hmmm.....Positives from the 3 home games?
We lost to a very average Saints unit, were well beaten by a very good Huddersfield side and hammered the worst team in the league (table doesn't lie)......all of these in front of less than 10,000 fand over the three games.
We have conceded 80 points at home and scored 82 points.......yet only have 2 points to show for our troubles?

Beating Castleford was a glitch.......I suspect normal service will be resumed this weekend. icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED:

I stand by my post. I said take the positives out of the home games and there WERE positives, as many on here that were at the games will concur with.

With all due respect Gutters, you haven't attended any of the games and you can only judge by what you've read on here (and that will usually be 90% negative even when we win), and a few mins of highlights footage.

Still, much better to just focus on all the negatives... that way we can all really look forward to the game on Saturday icon_rolleyes.gif

Oh, glad you managed to get another dig at the attendances in.... some of us are more interested watching the game than head-counting. a026.gif

I honestly don't think you can make an objective judgement without having seen these games in the flesh. It's all very well listening to the radio commentary or the match reports, but my assessment is very different.

The Saints game - yes we lost, but there were some encouraging signs. We competed. Saints weren't amazing, but they didn't show that many signs of the bad times that were to come for them.

The Huddersfield game - Huddersfield were really very average. It was probably their worst performance of the season thus far, and yet they still put 30 points on us and we looked toothless. It was baffling.

I can't afford to go. I'm so sorry. Once I have a job the season ticket will be in the post.
