Probably, but I couldn't stand it if we played on a frozen pitch & some key players in our small squad are injured & side-lined for months following...

I assume you haven't played rugby of either code on a frozen pitch?!
Its absolutely freezing in London today, but grassy areas don't seem to be all that affected.

I remember the season-opener against Bradford being called off the day before two years ago. Lovely sunny day it was, too.'"
speaking of Bradford - good job the Ctalans are playing away as I would imagine the game would have been called off at Perpignan with the frozen pitch etc

ATM pitch has been covered & squad are having a run on it now. Groundsman says it'll be playable Saturday but doesn't want to remove covers too early on Saturday, hence Under 20s has been cancelled as a precaution.

From the website U20s off, main match on, review at 11 am. No mention of fan forum being moved from 12:30 though.

simpsons/simp098.gif This year I want to see Us going forward in the last 5 minutes even if we are 40 points up.:simpsons/simp098.gif |

| Sensible precaution as it was -5 last night in the Heathrow area but the grass taking the Mutt for walk this morning was alright to be honest.

| Im all psyched up for this game with all the new players so i will be well miffed if the ref calls it off. Is there a number we have to ring after 11am as a lot of us Bronco fans are travelling a good distance, let alone the Saints fans. Anyway the temperature forcasted around 3pm seems to be 2C which hopefully will be OK. Just hope its around the same at 11am. Wonder if I can find my ballaclava

| Down here in Dorset it was (allegedly) -7c last night. Very cold at any rate. Point is, it's now about 15.20, the suns been shining all day, and, while lawns etc aren't bad where the suns reached them, it's still rock-hard with a frosty covering where it hasn't. As someone posted earlier, it really wouldn't be funny playing rugby (or even football) on that. Fingers crossed for a solar flare...

I'm in Twickenham, unless weather worsens I would be surprised if the game is off. BTW, I am not sure why earth being bombarded by charged high energy particles would help playing conditions.

| I was working on the principal a direct hit might warm the place up a bit which would be to the great benefit of all concerned. If anyone survived, of course.
